Eidolon... can it be a rogue?

I was wondering, if I took disable device and gave him lockpicks and such, could he find and disable traps and open locks relatively well?

It could not disable magic traps (you need trapfinding to do that) but all the mundane things I would say yes so long as the eidolon has the arms evolution (and thus hands).

Is there a way to pick up trapfinding for it? It would still be able to find them though, right?

Short of a home brew, no.

I'm not sure, but you might be able to give him a spell like ability to cast Find Traps, but I'm not sure if they can get Cleric spells with that or not. But even then it's a 1/day thing.

Not in Pathfinder, but in 3.5 yes.

It needs to take Planar Touchstone feat (Planar Handbook) then choose the location Catalogues of Enlightenment. THe basic ability is any domain: choose Kobold Domain. It (ediolon) now has trapfinding.

Issue is it is a dangerous place (it is on Mechanus plane, meant to be a challenge by level 8). You have to go there to gain the ability.
You'll need to have someone with good knowledge skills.

RPG Superstar 2011 Top 4

That is an epically round-a-bout way to get trapfinding.

Or you can see if the DM will allow you to take trapfinding as an evolution.
