When: Jan 11 2010
What: Pathfinder
How: One afternoon
Dry spell length: Half a year
Choice: N

Time before that was a trainwreck. Serious player altercation. Before that, I was the DM in my games for near three years.

Liberty's Edge

When; October 2006
What: D&D 3.5
How Long: preceding 2 years
Dry Spell Length: 3.5 years
By Choice?: yes and no. The DM was getting bogged down with some personal issues and couldn't devote enough time to maintaining the campaign. We also had a new person wishing to join the group, so we collectively decided to start a new campaign with me running it.

We've been on that same campaign ever since, but it has been slowly fizzling out. It's a bummer really, but we may end up scrapping it and moving on.

Dark Archive RPG Superstar 2013 Top 32

When: February 3, 2010
What: Star Wars Saga Edition
For How long: About 4 months running at this point.
Dry spell length: 8 months.
By Choice? Y

The SW game is drawing to a close, though, and I expect to take up the GM mantle once again in a few weeks.

Sovereign Court

When: Jan. 2010
What: PF
For How long: One afternoon
Dry spell length: 11 years
By Choice? Sort of

Dark Archive

When: August 2009
What: Various
For How long: GenCon Weekend
Dry spell length: Nearly six months.
By Choice? Not really.

Why? Limited time to play each month means that really only one campaign can go on at a time. I should get to play some more once my game wraps up this month. Also, the last time one of my players started a campaign, his computer crashed and he lost everything.

Dark Archive

When: December 2009
What: Bastion of Broken Souls
For how long: 2 weeks?
Dry spell length: Since then.
By choice: Yes.

I love running games, and I love playing. And I am finally in the perfect relationship to allow both to happen on a regular basis.

Amusingly, despite my Beloved Spouse's (Kobold chorus: "We love you!") desire to run her D20 Modern Game-Without-A-Name, wherein I'll be playing a Canadian American Private Investigator in a post-WWIII Pacific Northwest under Soviet Occupation Government... I'm still running my homebrew cuz I'm so awesome she doesn't wanna stop playing.

*grins* I am really happy about this dry spell, though I'm sure that I'll be jonesing for my PI fix real soon.

When: Sept 2008
What: 3.5 Eberron
How Long: about 5 sessions
Dry Spell: 2+ years and prior to that was college (lets just say a long time)
By Choice: nope

Every time I am a player or someone else tries to DM things just dont hold together and I end up reorganizing folks and running a game.

Shadow Lodge

When: Feb 12, 20010
What: Homebrew 3.5
For How long: From 7:00 PM to 3:00 AM
Dry spell length: About three and a half months (October 2009)
By Choice? Y

I'm lucky in that I DM one game and another of the players DMs a different game. The two of us alternate regularly. Unfortunately his "regular" group couldn't get together for three months.

When: January 12, 2010
What: Dark Heresy
For How long: Every other month 1x month
Dry spell length: Prior to this game which started a year ago about 2 years

This is really the first time I have played in a Sci-Fi campaign (besides a 2 game Cyberpunk experience back in HS) so I am really enjoying it.

Been longer for D&D though...

When: May 15, 2008
What: Dragonlance 3.5
For How long: Every other month
Dry spell length: Prior to this about 4 years for D&D.
