Mules, donkeys, carts, and wagons oh my!

Rules Questions

ok so after staring a game we ran into a small problem what are the stats for a mule/donkey and how much weight can a cart/ wagon pull with donkeys as the beast of burden as half of my players own a donkey for gear

Cart: This two-wheeled vehicle can be drawn by a single horse (or other beast of burden).

A cart is open-topped. The most common dray creature for a cart is a mule, which can pull the vehicle at a speed of 20 feet even if it’s fully loaded.

Wagon: A four-wheeled, open vehicle for transporting heavy loads. Two horses (or other beasts of burden) must draw it. A wagon comes with the harness needed to pull it.

A wagon is open-topped, so the driver and any passengers gain one-half cover behind 1 inch of wood. The most common dray creatures for the wagon are two heavy horses, which are strong enough to pull the wagon at a speed of 35 feet, even if it’s fully loaded. Wagons are the most common means for an invading army to move siege engines from place to place. A wagon can also be equipped with a heavy catapult (adding 2 tons to the wagon’s weight and eliminating the cargo capacity) or a light catapult (adding 1 ton to weight, leaving 1 ton of cargo space for ammunition).

Donkey or Mule: Donkeys and mules are stolid in the face of danger, hardy, surefooted, and capable of carrying heavy loads over vast distances. Unlike a horse, a donkey or a mule is willing (though not eager) to enter dungeons and other strange or threatening places.

I would use the stats for a horse in place of a donkey or mule, since there is no such creature in the bestiary.

OR, use the suggestion here.

nice

i just use the stats abouve say that a cart alowws the animal to pull/drag weight of the animal above for that must be why it only goes 16 miles a day

OR use the statted horse's strength, get its maximum Draggable weight, and multiply it by 6 (Large Quadruped creature).

Scarab Sages

Or you could kill the donkey's with a random wandering red dragon (outside), or a random umberhulk (inside)... donkey's make for good eating!

Just don't arbitrairly alter the Mule cost to 20gp just because you don't like that "donkeys and mules are treated as the same".
