Is the language involving armor restrictions on the Stalwart ability left over from when the Inquisitor had Evasion previously? Or is it intended, in order to prevent cross-class abuse?

I'd think the later, but it could be the former since it's a new ability. It does work fine with the class without multiclassing in mind though.

Meh. I kinda want to give my Inquistor of Gorum Heavy Armor Prof, but that's currently unlikely...

I don't really see how heavy armor would hinder your ability to shrug off poisons and mind affects...

I can't see it being abused. Its not like a character can level dip into the class just to get Stalwart. The ability isn't gained till 11th-level. I personally think the armor restriction should be removed due to that.
