Hey y'all! I recently got a job in the Portland area, and will be moving there in the next couple of months. I am interested in:
- Pathfinder (of course) - Prefer to run, have all the APs, modules, Chronicles and Companions. Not adverse to sandbox campaigns either. Willing to run PFS games too.
- RIFTS - Prefer to play. Husband is dying to play in a RIFTS game again.
- GURPS/Spycraft/FantasyCraft - Love the systems, would like to play.
Also, finding a good FLGS is also important. I know of Bridgetown Hobbies and Rainy Day Games - any other place where gamers gather together?

Hello
I would be interested in joining in some of the Pathfinder games. However I will admit that I have not played any Pathfinder, but really like the look of it. I am "Old School" D&D (back in 2E days some some 3E). I am a bit outside of Portland (Towards the coast), so weekends are much better.Yes Bridgetown Hobbies and Rainy Day Games are both good. Bridgetown is in Portland area, Rainy Day Games is slightly outside of Portland, in Hillsboro>

Since you already know about Rainy Day Games and Bridgetown...
Knightfall Games is kinda small/cramped, but it's close to Rainy Day Games (about 3.5 miles). 9955 SW Beaverton-Hillsdale Hwy, Beaverton. Website
Guardian Games is a pretty decent place. BIG area, lots of gaming space. They're at 303 SE 3rd Ave in Portland. Website
Ancient Wonders in Tualatin is cool - it's an old house turned into retail space, the last holdout in a redeveloped commercial area, so it's kinda cool seeing this beat-up old house next to all the snooty new stuff. TONS of old/out-of-print stuff. They're at 19060 SW Boones Ferry Rd. Website
Besides Rainy Day and Bridgetown, those are the ones on my "must-visit" list for whenever I'm in Portland.
There's also a bunch of Hobbytowns up there - chain store, but they've usually got a fair amount of "current" gaming stuff in stock, and they're one of the better stops for Warhammer stuff, or mini-painting supplies. I like the one in Wilsonville the best, even if the manager is a little too suspicious of anyone walking in the door.
Powell's is always a good browse for RPG stuff, at the less-busy times. Prices suck, though.

Hey!
I was meaning to talk this over with you when you arrived, but seeing as how you posted it here...
I'm currently running tabletop about 1/month a 3.5 Castle Whiterock game. I was thinking about starting a Pathfinder game once you moved up here, assuming we could get the players together; all the better if you want to run, since I tend to DM most of the time, and am happy to play instead! So that's one player locked in for ya!
I haven't read any of the APs, which should help. The one that sounds most interesting actually is the upcoming Kingmaker, but that's still a few months off. Maybe Council of Thieves in the meantime, which would require no conversion since it already uses Pathfinder rules?
As for my players, one of them I believe would be interested; not too likely for the three others due to their other commitments.

My roommate and I are looking to join a game in Portland, OR/Vancouver, Wa. Our current group is flailing and we would like to get in on something good where someone else is the DM, since it usually ends up being him or I, not both being able to play at the same time.
So give me a shout, I would love to play in an actual Pathfinder game on a regular basis.
We normally played once a week.

I'm in Vancouver, WA. Sunday would be best for me, morning until about 9PM. My evenings are full for every other day. On weekdays(except Friday), I can play in the mornings to afternoon until 3PM or so. If you guys get a Pathfinder game going in those hours, you can be 99.5% sure I'll be down for it. ;)

Would just like to note I found a weekly group and am no longer looking, but I wouldn't mind playing a PF Society scenario now and then. Wish I had more time for gaming, but I've just got too many other darn hobbies. :D
I'd be down for a meet and greet. There's the D&D group on meetup.com that has events at Guardian Games...
Portland Dungeons & Dragons Meetup
They had a beer and pizza night this last Thursday, but I came down with a cold. :(
As far as I know, nobody is running any Pathfinder stuff at Guardian Games currently.

Enjoying the change of scenery up here as well as settling into work. Gaming on a regular basis might be on hold until I manage to secure a place locally.
I would like to meet other gamers here locally, anybody up for a meet n' greet somewhere?
Hey Lilith,
We've already meeted and greeted you! Bill From New Seasons and Tom Beckett (Burnt Offerings: the play).
I sent you an email recently about our Sat night game. Check it out and get back to me. :)

Hi guys,
My group (Sunday 12pm-5pm in Vancouver) is not *actively* looking for new players but certainly will consider all interested parties. We regularly play Pathfinder but also switch to other games (GURPS 4E, CoC, M&M, and whatever else anyone wants to play). We have two GMs that switch between games (usually an involved campaign broken up by short side-games - we're halfway through RotRL but also playing a modified Red Hand of Doom but currently taking a brief trip through a GURPS world-hopping game...it's complicated, I know.) Anyway. Just putting it out there.

Pinvendor,
Well, we're in Vancouver, not Portland, but we probably have room at the table if you're interested (see previous post). As I noted, we're not system-specific, though we mainly play Pathfinder.
We have three constant players (two are DMs so one is usually running). Another pretty constant player. One half-time player. One that's off right now due to personal conflicts. And another two or three that drop in once in a blue moon for a session or four when they feel like it. That amounts to usually four players and a DM at a session...and once in a while six or even seven.
If you feel like you can handle that sort of thing let me know. We'd love to have more constant players for our game.

I started my own "living in Portland, need game" post a while back and I haven't gotten involved with one yet. Any room in those multi-system any and all rpg groups? I promise I bathe every day and am a great roleplayer!
Pinvendor....There could be an opening in my game on Saturdays. I'll let you know in a week or so. I'm located in deep SE Portland.

I can say with alacrity if the games and players are good, then I am your man. Worry over distance is only tempered by the desire to reach one's destination...and resources resembling fuel. :P

Let me know indeed. I am currently available for that time slot, I believe.

LOL. Well, shoot me an e-mail at michaela at acaciarg dot com if you want to maybe set up a Sunday to join a session to see how it goes.

I'm not aware of any...there was one but they closed down a while back and sold off all of their Warhammer 40k terrain and things (we have now have three very large gaming boards from that salvage).
Personally, my favorite store is Guardian - they put the F in FLGS. Second-favorite is Bridgetown - not so much with the F, but they have some decent stuff (especially if you like modelling as well).

Gaming Stores in Vancouver??
A couple of you in this thread are from Vancouver
I recently moved here to VancouverI know of a few gaming stores in Portland area
But any good gaming stores (Pathfinder and 3.5 products) in Vancouver area?
There is Amazing Stories out on Fourth Plain, but they have hardly the selection that the stores in Portland do. I generally end up either ordering from Paizo, Amazon, or driving down to Bridgetown to get my gaming stoof.
BTW, welcome to the area. Shoot me an email if you are looking for a game, I have a spot or two in the game I run, and am looking to form up a seporate group for me to be a player in, too.
