OK, so I am taking over as GM for my group and at the same time I am converting us from 3.5 to PF. Everyone else transfers just fine and they all became much better and got a few cooler abilities. However, my character is an Artificer and I have taken a look at various other conversions and the TOS version and I have a lot of problems with them all. Either they felt weird to me or they were in my opinion to strong.
Now I liked how the original Eberon Artificer was constructed but even that I had problems with, specifically not gaining crafting feats as soon as you qualify for it by level or his ability to be a master craftsman.
So I came up with my own conversion but I would like some help going over it and see if it seems balanced or not. I also read in the conversion guide book that you want to aim to fill empty spots and I am having trouble with the last couple of slots.
Here is a link to a JPEG of my conversion so far.

Thought I would add a pic I did of my Artificer just for fun.

The class looks good and balanced with the others. Efficient engineer and empower device are great additions to the class. Anything about hd and skill points/level?
(only one thing: did you really give the class a full BaB? I'm assuming that is a typo)
Well the skill points per level, class skills, and HD I took all from the ToS Artificer because I think that was the only thing that I didn't have a problem with.
However now that I have taken a second look at some stuff I think I might change the Art BAB to a Rogue BAB. That should still allow him to aim properly but at the same time tone him down a bit.

OK, I looked into those areas a little more and changed a few things. Basically since the ToS version of the Artificer was so off key the only thing that I borrowed from it was the class skills.
So for HD and BAB I based it slightly off the rogue but I lowered the skill points per level to 6 + int which is just a step below a rogue but a step above most other classes. My reasoning is because Artificer often have to invest into a ton of different craft skills.
Would love to hear any suggestion as for the open spots level spots because the conversion mentions that you need to try and fill those up. The only thing that I can think of is to put bonus feats there.

You could give him at 16th the ability to wear 4 rings, at 17 or 19 something to quicken infusions.
I thought about that but then again I thought well by level 20 you already get like 10 feats which is a lot in addition to being able to magic your own magic gear, need something to spend those feats on.
I thought maybe bonus feat but I am also thinking perhaps Craft effigy would be a nice touch and perhaps Craft Scepter as well..
Craft Effigy: You can create effigies using the effigy template as per the Effigy Master Prestige class if you already have levels in Effigy Master then you get Improved Craft Effigy allowing your effigies to have +2 HD.

I've also been working on an artificer conversion. I usually look at existing classes and make my build from there when I do these things. I've been working on using the Inquistor class as my base build, treating his Judgements as "infusions" cast into weapons and armor to grant abilities. Curious if anybody else has tried this.
Hope I didn't hijack your thread, sorry if I did.
