Does being staggered in addition to being grappled have any cumulative negative effects? I still can't quite wrap my head around it...
Aside from what each condition entails, I see no real interaction between the two.
Entering or escaping a grapple is a standard action, is it not? That means you can grapple or attempt to escape a grapple AND NOTHING ELSE when you are also staggered.
