Just got an email that they will be going live with the patronage tomorrow! Woot!

Wow news travels fast!

Yes, we wanted to give all of you a heads up that the P20 Modern
Kickstarter Project will be starting tomorrow morning, PST! We'll be
sending out a link when it's live.

SWEET!!! Well, I know where some of this paycheck will be going.

I'm curious as to why I didn't get the email.

Have you joined SGG's Yahoo Group? If not, that might be your problem. ;)

There's a yahoo group? I wonder how I missed that?

Check your dice. Ones aren't good to roll on a spot check. ;-)

Sovereign Court

Sweet, I'm looking forward to getting in on this.

I want to get a giant bullhorn and wake up the west coast!

Some of us are awake!

And it goes live!

EDIT: Made the top six $250 contributor! Must come up with iconic...

me too, i think my pledge was first actually. I think i will wait to see what the other 5 want to do. And also how the classes are layed out. If it where the old stat based classes I think i could fit 5 of the 6. Aspects of my personality/self could fit alot of archtypes, so I can be more flexible with my iconic.

Hot damn, me too!

Only one of the first six are left!!

Looks like #6 just got taken!

How many of the six are here? Myself, Koloktroni and Urizen - anyone else?

Oh, I think I may have been 7th! Sigh :p

I have to confess; I was camping all morning for this. Pathetic, ain't it?

Nawh. :)

Super Genius Games

That was quick... :D

We have our six iconic slots! But there are still LOTS of opportunities to get "spiffs," which still includes having a character based on you or based on your requested design. (I promise, there will be a lot more than six characters in the final book, though the iconics do get the special attention. Anyone every want to be a recurring villain?)

Less than a day in, we are going strong. So pledge, tell your friends, set up links at your websites, alert the media (seriously), and let's get this project funded!

Iconics taken.. that is so rad.

Are the Paizo folks humbly putting you guys up in the welcome page news? <crosses fingers> I imagine the same over at EnWorld.

There should also be some mention of Super Genius on the kickstart page. For someone not knowing what's going on there isn't enough information there. Also a list of author/designers would be useful. (I'd say super important.)
The kickstart page is going out to the internet and not everyone getting to the kickstart page is on paizo or the yahoo group.

my 2¢

I was freaking out that I might have missed it - that dang "employment" getting in the way.

I refreshed, and realized 3 or 4 iconic slots were already gone!

There is. It's in the Recent Additions.

EDIT: And it's important for the rest of us to do our due diligence to spread the word. :D

Plugged in at the $250 level - being one of the recurring villains sounds like fun... ;)

What sucks is that I lost my job back in January, but I was purposely holding money just to get in on this and maybe it's the way fate works; because I would have not gotten in on this if I were working.

But I would like to get back to working, though. :)

Scarab Sages

Yep, already posted on my fave RPG podcast forum.

Sovereign Court

yep, you got my cnote already and I emailed the link to all my gaming buddies.

I believe Lou Agresta was #6.

$2500 in an hour, not bad i think.

Yup! I'm only concerned that some may back off the $250 route because of the perceived cap....Hopefully everyone else will be coming through with the $50-$100 bids.

I am curious if anyone has the cash and cojones to do the $5k route.

Owen you may want to start a new thread on these boards announcing the launch for those who arent following the thread closely and may believe we are still debating alien races in this thread when it gets bumped by a post.

Grand Lodge

I am so upset. My boss decided to come into my office for a friendly chat just when this went up and I missed the top 6. I guess there are 8 people int he 250 bracket so I pledged 100.

How pathetic? I have been camping for days like many others and just missed it because of bad luck.

Yeah, sigh :\

I was late to the Iconic NPC party because I missed the link in Urizen's post and was scanning the thread trying to find out where to go. I shall channel my bitterness into my non-Iconic NPC's design ;)

Well damn...

This is what I get for going out to do volunteer work. Last time I try to give something back to the community, I tell you! ;)

On a more serious note, I just made a $50 pledge like I originally said I would waaaay back in post #2 of this thread.

And we thank you for it! Honestly, the $50 patrons are going to be just as important to this project's success as the $250 patrons. So we love you all, equally. :D

Except for any $5000 patrons. We will love them more. Sorry, folks, but I am sure you understand. :D

Particularly $5000 patrons from exotic but pleasant vacation destinations?

Anybody knows Vin Diesel? :P

wow im really surprised there are still more $250 patrons then $50.

It's still the working hours. Wait until our brother & sister geeks get home and login. :D

It's now over $3000.

Well, I don't have the $250 to spread around, but I did just show my SGG love by purchasing all of their current material and I'm now in at $50.

Also, if you guys would like, I'd be happy to build a modified version of my character sheet that supports P20 Modern, or simply add it into my current work if it's similar enough to Pathfinder...

Sounds good, Erian!

I was #5. Or possibly #3, I'm not sure now I look at the registering times. I was camping all day (I'm on GMT) for this, only to realize at the last minute that my wife had the credit card! I had to phone her to get the details, lol, very nearly missed out.

I'm so excited, hope this bird flies!

Peace,

tfad

$250 pledged. I only intended to do $100, but $70k is a lot of money and I think of myself as the target audience for the product... so I dug deeper.

This'll be my first patronage product.

Good man! Me too! Perhaps you will be a recurring villain I must triumph against. ;)

I just have to say ... ummm ... wow!

I just have to say that I, personally, am both humbled and honored by the initial surge of support. Seriously, THANK YOU all for jumping in with both feet.

We've set quite a challenging goal for this fundraising efforts ... but that's just so we can give you exactly the best product we can conceive--the product we'd want, if we were on the other end of this patronage system.

It is still an open question whether, when all is said and done, we'll succeed at this effort and be able to do that ... but one thing is certain: The support and assistance you have given us even at just this early stage makes this a high-water mark in my career in gaming.

So really, from my heart ... thank you.

Now get out there and keep spreading the word!!!
