New Pathfinder Roleplaying Game / Ptolus Blog is Up and Running

Liberty's Edge

Just wanted to let those who might be interested that my new Pathfinder Roleplaying Game blog, Workshop of the Clockwork Gnome is now up and running.

Ostensibly the site is focused on producing new material and conversions for Monte Cook's Ptolus using the Pathfinder Role Playing Game. The new material will expand upon and further develop material first presented in the Ptolus setting. This will include new or expanded organizations, new locations in the city and under it, new NPCs, new races, and an expansion of the world of Praemal from what was presented in the original setting.

The conversions will faithfully recreate familiar Ptolus residents and update them for the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Where needed, I plan to update and adapt other mechanical features (monsters, feats, spells) to the standards presented in the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game.

Finally, I plan to take sourcebooks and modules printed for Paizo's Golarion a provide a few guidelines on how to integrate that material into a Ptolus campaign.

While this site does focus on Ptolus: The City by the Spire, I truly believe this material can be used in any RPG fantasy setting with very little adaptation. Most notably, any major fantasy metropolis can benefit from the ideas presented on the blog. Finally, those of you who enjoy steampunk will likely find some future material to help satisfy that interest. So don't feel limited by the assumptions of the site.

Feel free to take a look around. The site is still in its infant stages and I am more than willing to hear some suggestions and thoughts on how I can improve the blog.

The Workshop of the Clockwork Gnome will be updated twice a week or more if I feel inspired. So there will always be new material to peruse and critique.

Liberty's Edge

Just wanted to get this out of the way in case it came up. I do have permission from Monte Cook to use Ptolus and to produce fan material for the setting. But nothing I produce is supported or official in any way.
