I made mine. That guy's not worth responding to.

I closed the section down, I don't even want to know what jackass response he had.

Morning all. I like a nice flame war in the morning.

What else did I miss?

Aberzombie declared his undying love for all things KFC.

Garydee was photographed in a compromising position with Al Gore.
And Mairkurion was eaten by a goat.

In other words, not much.

So, I've decided I like getting to work two and a half hours late.

I forgot to set my alarm this morning, which I haven't done in years. I woke up at about 8:10, and had to be at work at 8:30. So I called and told them my apartment was having plumbing issues again (which happened recently) and I had to wait for maintenance to fix it. No rush, so I wound up getting in just before 11:00.

I'm such a dirty liar.

Heh.

Must not let curtains win.

The struggle to get this stupid curtain rod up continues.

And have to spend extra time today at school meetings. They're collecting info on Bryce. They had to ask for an extension on the evaluation cause they're not very organized and are only now getting around to starting the testing. Trying not to be too terribly frustrated about that.

But on the bright side it's a lovely sunny day. You don't see many of those this time of year. I'm tempted to act like a cat and curl up for a nap in a patch of sunshine. :)

Slow day?

Seems that way.

I blame it on no blog and stupid argumentative threads.

Liberty's Edge

Just got my copy of "The Gamers" returned after loaning it to a friend. Now I've gotta watch it.

Alright, somebody tell me about a delicious food that I've likely never had before. I've recently had Jello Cake, and now I'm interested in what else I've been missing.

You like gyros?

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:

Yes, although I don't eat meat nowadays.

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:
Pad Thai?

Yes, those are delicious. Rice noodles with veggies wrapped in a rice noodle flatbread, right? Mmmm.

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:
Pad kra pow??

No idea that that is.

Mairkurion {tm} wrote:

In my new world order, this will be the only variety of French Toast available.

Never had it, but I'd probably eat it.

Mmmmm, pork.

Never had alligator, but I've eaten my share of crawfish. Never had Jambalaya though, only time I ever saw someone make it I was sick to my stomach and the smell about knocked me down.

There's Thai food without peanuts or peanut sauce. Look into Pad kra pow and Pad kee mow. And curries! Duck curry...

Regarding alligator - great to eat, if it's prepared correctly.

Regarding jambalaya - weird, maybe they weren't preparing it correctly. Or, maybe it's a Louisiana thing.

What the big deal? Fry it!

I'm from where the Missouri meets the Mississippi, not used to cramming that much <blamo> into one dish.

Ya know, maybe I'm thinking of Gumbo.

Ever had Nutria?

There are fried brain sandwiches at the bars around here. I'm surprised this isn't zombie central.

Nobody local eats them, none that I know anyway.

We're too busy toasting (deep frying) ravioli, BBQing bratwursts, and eating super fatty pork steaks.

Oh no, my friend - that is but one way. There are others: the aforementioned alligator sauce piquant is very good. And there was a place near my dad's old dry cleaners that sold alligator jerky - $10/lb, but delicious. I know there's more, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

Not on purpose.

Seriously, I've heard mixed things about it - some good, some bad. I never had the chance. Nor the desire, really. I didn't really want to eat something they'd put a bounty on.

Rainy led to me picking up Kellen from school early, had a nice 'guy's day' together. :)

Gonna be gone most of the night, going to my mom's for dinner. :D

Finally, some eye candy for the ladies (depending on what's doing the healing).

Man, I want gator now. I made due with some breaded fish fillets.

Sounds like a cool day, Moorluck.

Hey, WR.

No wonder SP has never eaten much. Break out of the Midwest, dude.

We're only down stream of Minnesota, Kansas, and rural Illinois... there ain't much going on here.

Plus, I've eaten a ton! Just not a lot of variety. Ask Treppa.

Naked eye candy and healing? Huh.

Is this anything like the pics from the temple in SCAP?

I like trying new foods. One of these days I want to try phở. The last gamenight I was at, a few players brought some (I had already eaten) and it looked good. It's also one of the only Asian cuisines I still haven't tried.

Edit: Apparently Paizo doesn't like that freaky character I used. Anglicized spelling: "pho".

OK, I mean WIDELY...I know MWerners eat tons: potatoes, basic meats, hmmm...bread. When MWerners get wild, what do they do? Put gravy on something? Whoa...slow down there, pardner. You better go with the white gravy, that brown's a little too spicy for your kind.
