The thing is...its hard to seperate what is truth and what is false. And for a while we will wonder what can be trusted to be true.

That said....I am taking a short break. My friends can find me on FB and the chatroom. :)

You will be greatly missed. Hopefully humors will be better upon your return.

And David, I'll add that I find it very hard to believe that Christina was involved in a relationship with a fictional person, and went ON VACATION with them, but she's real and Tina isn't.

OK, this is getting a little too much for me. I'm not leaving the site, but I'm leaving this thread for now. Y'all know where to hit me up. Peace.

EDIT: WOOT! Calling out the b@*%#!*~ for top of the page! YAY me!

TOP ninja'd by monkey, who will also be missed.

Are you on FB Freehold? I thought I saw in a Thread somewhere that you were...

Off to work (late again, I started 10 minutes ago). I go to bed for 3 hours and everyone leaves on me! :(

Freehold isn't; he's a self admitted Luddite. :P

I don't know what I can say. I have tried to prove my good intentions but I can't make you trust what I say. I have explained everything too you so now the ball is in your court. Christina was Tina's girlfriend before Tina died an has been helping me with her facebook page. That is the truth, whether you believe it or not.

I think I will just leave instead of Pat and Solnes. Obviously nothing I can say will repair the damage. I wish everyone the best of luck.

Good mornin' all....hey where did everybody go?

Gah, everybody here is a drama queen, he he.

David, let me say that while I wasn't one of the people that was influenced by what happened, I can understand what you might have been going through. After my dad died I did some crap that I wasn't proud of, but I owned up to and told the truth.

I am a firm believer that everybody deserves as many chances as they need in order to become the best person they can possibly become. Without love and forgiveness, humanity is little more than a sentient animal. You are in my prayers, and if you need someone to talk to, please feel free to email me. I know that having someone to talk to can help to resolve and work through the emotions that you are feeling.

I am actually here enjoying life, every day, he he.

I can't make you or anyone stay. All I can say is that you will be missed, and that I look forward to your return.

I was getting irritated with all the drama, but then I said screw it, nothin' gonna change so I wwill just enjoy life, because you only get one shot, and wasting time on this stuff is pointless.

End rant, he he.

Life is endless drama. The only way to get away from it is to live a solitary life in the wilderness, completely cut off from all the amenities of the civilized world.

No sense wating brain cells on things that are out of our control.

I hope you guys are having a good Sunday.

Erg, I was having drama during our game night last night. One of the guys was very testy, getting angry when someone had a string of good rolls or when he misheard something. I'd prefer that stuff stay out of something that's supposed to be fun. :S

I'm too yellowbelly to risk in behavior that kills off brain cells. If there's anything that scares me, it's alzheimer's.

The only thing I'm superstitious (sic?) about are my dice. Forget ghosts and demonic possessions and 2012 conspiracy theories -- something jinxed my gorram dice rolls! :D

My grandmother's father had it, and now she's got it. Both of them developed it around the age of 80, so I have a feeling the deadly heart attack or stroke will take me out before I have a chance to get it.

So far, only my grandma has it. I don't think I need to worry about getting it.

Schizophrenia also runs in my family as well as my woman's. Even if we were able to have children, we would seriously think twice about it.

Wow, that's not good. Aren't there certain drugs you can take for treating that?

That is worrisome.

The worst thing that runs in my family is depression. I really hope my kids don't end up with it, because it can be pretty nasty some days. My wife was the one who finally got me to realize I had it and needed to get it treated.

I'll see if my father ends up with it, then I'll worry about it. I'm definitely more worried about a physical ailment taking me out. Of course, a crippling stroke would completely suck. I don't want to be a burden on my family.

Dang it, I'm being a downer right now.

I've read it's difficult to treat with drugs because the symptoms make one believe that the drugs aren't necessary.

Yeah kinda like bi-polar disorder, which happens in my family as well. Very depressing, sorry for the bad joke there, he he.

Heh. Try convincing a shizophrenic they have a problem and need to take meds.

Depression also runs on my mother's side of the family. We all have our sour moods once in awhile. The best thing I at least try to do is keep my mind active and continue to learn new things. Some days are better than others, though. But I'm sure that's like for the majority of us on days ending in Y. :P

This is true. I'm exercising now, partly in an attempt to lose weight, but I also realize that getting some endorphins flowing improves my outlook. The nasty thing about depression is that when I'm depressed I don't have the energy to do the things that would help me get out of it. Funny that.

I need to exercise more also.

Really? He did that?! And then she said that?! I can understand why you're so upset!

Spoiler:

Everyone else was doing spoilers. :(

So, I had to join in.

;)

Much better now.

Well, I'm gone for a while.

Welcome to our humble little thread, Anna. I hope the posts you looked at didn't scare you away. :)

They're not so bad, Anna. Taig and Mairkurion are, in fact, quite adorable.
I think someone has a Man Crush... ;)

I don't know how someone would choose. Taig is probably more consistently adorable. I get grumpy some times.

You've got that cool scholarly air about you. I'm a computer dweeb. :)

Ok. I have to ask - how do I even come across to you guys?

I've been told I scare the s$@* out of my students. When my colleagues said it, I said, No way, I'm the lovable one, and they just all collapsed into hysterical riot. So apparently, if you expect people to prepare for class, you're threatening. I think dweebs are less threatening, and therefore, more adorable. Also, chances are not good that I'll fix your computer.

I'd say you come across as a genuine mensch of our age. Also, one of wide experience and interests, though a little luddish. The latter is clearing up fine for me, but then, I'm not a high standard on that count (Cf Taig above.) Wait a minute, who brought up flying saucers that one time? Was that you? Also, there's too many Republicans and Libertarians in here, but I live and let live. ;)

Thanks for popping over, Anna. I just wanted to let you know that, in this case, it doesn't really have to do with American attitudes or male chauvinism or insecurities. We had a rash of sock puppets where guys were pretending to be girls, who, for lack of a better way of putting it, fit Jenny's profile. So the denizens of this thread, who probably don't agree on anything more than we love gaming and we want people to be real if they choose to represent who they really are on the boards, busted a few of these fellows, and because of some hurt feelings, don't really have any tolerance for this kind of game (outside of an actual game, of course!) Also, we feel kind of protective of the Paizo community because we care about the people in it, and the Paizo company, because we tend to put the "fanatic" in fan. Geez, sorry for the long sentence.

I'll just bump this back down, in case Anna comes back.

Inquisitive, calm & collected, wisened and reserved.

Now, how do I come across?

I don't recall having a conversation about flying saucers.

Luddish? Get off my lawn. Actually, I don't oppose new technologies. I just oppose the trendiness and/or costs of it. I think more of myself as an iconoclast. I keep a bit of it to myself out of concern that I would be misunderstood as I can speak in a lot of abstracts / metaphors. And we know how misunderstanding can go quite a distance 'round dese dem dere parts, mein Frond. ;)

As someone who's case Urizen must constantly be on! ;)

Oh, and Urizen seems like the kind of guy to be on your case.

Heh. My woman wishes I'd show more emotion. I tend to keep things bottled up as a means to not lose control of my physical composure. Most of my blowing up is done privately. :P

Hm. Honestly? You're a bright guy, but socially naive. I worry that the longer you remain out of social ties beyond the reach of your mom, it'll get tougher for you if something were to happen to her. You ought to get out more, join a church or a community club where you can meet other friends and hopefully the right girl. Make sense?

Heh. In RL, I'm rarely on anyone's case. If anything, the lil lady is on my case ALL. THE. TIME. She is as logical as I am, but a hundred times more blunt. To me, it's more like chess. I wait for an opening.

Hej!

My brother told me about this on the telephone this evening. He says exactly the same thing as you. We have this similar problem in Sweden that men pretend to be women online as a method to meet up. Usually, I think these are shy guys but sometimes it's very creepy!

A lot of people have that misconception about me. I'm a highly sociable person, it's just that I don't flaunt it all that much. I love to talk, but I love listening more. Like I've said before, my mom is flooded with paperwork and house chores/duties atm. When that all blows over, I am going to back to school and am also going to look into becoming a voice for the folks that have down syndrome. As being as intelligents as I am and having mosaic downs, I'm sure that I could do a lot of good.
