*grumble* morning.

Sigh. Mornings are always so much more disagreeable after I've done something foolish like staying up an extra hour reading the night before.

I'm sorry to hear that. I do the same thing, and I'd have thought in my 41 years I would have figured out not to do it. :)

Holy crap. You're older than me?!

Scary, isn't it? I think Emperor7 is the only person who visits this thread who's older than I am.

I believe I come in third place behind you and Emperor.

I have absolutely no idea how old you are. I know that Mairk, Kruely, and Jester are a year older than I. Dev and AZ are a year younger than I.

Another trip down memory lane.

I confess ... I have never seen Red Dwarf. Know nothing about it other than the name mentioned in passing when I come across it.

Oh man I loved my discman! I do know what you mean about younger girls. I find that college girls and all annoy me....to no end! I have never been in fashion (except for maybe the two years I hung out with the goth kids). I haven't been into video games since the Sega was IN. And I hate most the music that is out now.

I don't find them annoying so much as I find them frustrating. Like looking at the concept art for a future masterpiece, or listening to the soundtrack of a major motion picture when you've only seen the trailers. Works in progress frustrate me, I guess, especially when I sense the potential. It hinders me in my writing, I think.

I don't hate music that's out nowadays, I'm just comfortably not into it. A few songs here and there interest me, and there are a few people whose personal style catches my attention, but for the most part, I'm not the person they're looking for.
flips in the ORIGINAL BGC soundtrack into discman Aah...synth j-pop.

Still, I'm worried. We listen to the oldies station at work religiously and for the past half hour all of the songs have been from my childhood. Sledgehammer is playing right now. I also have one REALLY long and obvious grey hair in my chin-beard that is outpacing its brothers and mocks me each morning. I think he may be communicating with other hairs to get them to make the change...

Lucky you. You only have a grey hair in your beard, hmph I can beat that. I am 24 and thinning hair on top of my head. By the time I hit Solnes age I will be balding.

Actually I shave my head. It embarrasses the hell out of me that it took me 26 years to realize how good I looked and how much money I would save.

I thik I may be the youngest. I am 27...or one of the youngest. I like all the older songs, but the ones from my childhood would be things like Boys 2 Men and New Kids on the Block. I try not to think about it. :\

You're 4 years younger than me! NOOOOOOOO!!

back hunches over, glasses turn into bifocals, suddenly notice preponderance of kids playing on lawn
So....whats it feel like to be ......30?! 0-o

I wish I could remember. Please don't tell em I am the oldest here?

Does anyone think the 4e sales slowing thread can end well?

Same here, except it took me a few years more. Granted, I do leave a layer of fuzz up there, and let it grow out a bit before cutting again. Sadly, the time between cuttings is getting shorter as my hair thins and recedes more. I do have some grey hairs at my temples, and that's getting worse. Also, if I were to grow out a beard, that would likely be pretty grey as well.

Probably not. I'd say all it will really do is fire up the edition wars again.

I was tempted to join in the schadenfreude, but I decided a moment's good feeling was not worth the suffering that would follow.

Shoobie-doobie-doobie!

I'm 33, will be 34 in May.

There is something about Tuesdays....

Sigh. Kid got sent home again. Second Tuesday in a row. Same old, same old, but now that we're doing the official assessment the school doesn't have as much leeway about punishments. They have to follow school policy to the letter. Since he did all his homework for the week yesterday, we took him to the library and his assignment for the rest of the day is to read quietly. Spiderman comics aren't much of a punishment, but at least he's reading. :/

You might want to watch those comments there, missy. They'll come back and bite you in the ass when you turn 30. :)

LMAO!! I have 2 and a half years to worry over that! My cousin (and best friend) just turned 30....I have yet to let off. ;)

Its all in good fun...30 is like 20 really, you just do it with a bit more sense. :)

Lol. I wouldn't go back to 20 for anything in the world. Not a good time for me. I'm gonna be 33 next week, and I am not in the slightest embarrassed about my age. :)

Yes I do.

Possibility number 1: With the release of Darksun their sales increase showing them that a good product will in fact cause better sales. They will then rehire some of the people that they let go and start producing quality or quantity.

Possibility number 2: They go broke. They sell off the IP. Paizo raises enough money to buy it from them. Pathfinder RPG renames itself Dungeon and Dragons with no number behind it. Continues to make quality products while keeping costs down and keeping the OGL movement alive. Net win for all involved.

My seething hatred for 4e ensures that I will not post in that thread for fear of turning into a gibbering mouther. Remember those?

That's because I like both. I just thought the story about the game store was funny.

CH, I wanted to post that in response to you in the other thread, but knew that it would be a mistake, and also not considerate to the OP's attempts to "flame out". So I put it here for us to enjoy in our safe little cocoon.

CrimJ, sorry, I meant the thread, not the purported trend. The thread may be starting to turn away from the fire, but it's still got potential. If number 1 works out, I hope it improves the miniatures situation from WotC.

Yeah i figured it out after I posted. Kinda glad I did post that here though instead of the other thread it is being peaceful so I do not wish to be the one to flame it out.

Actually, I would like to play more Pathfinder, but lately it seems to be almost all 4e. *shrug*
