Do you think {lets assume you can} that actors are ever "geeks" about shows they have been on or characters they have played? Like does Mark Hamel ever look back and go "I am Luke Skywalker! Crap I was a whinny little b+*+*." Or does William Shatner ever say to himself "I am Captian Kirk who was that Goth little s&@& sitting in MY CHAIR and why does my set now look like the Apple Store? Damn we did some silly s&~# in my day but at least I got to show my bare pecks in every episode."

Jayne is hilarious...but Agent John Casey on Chuck is so cool. If it were me I would want to be Agent Casey everyday!

I'm pretty sure William Shatner never does that. Mark Hamill might. I guess it depends on the actor. I know Wil Wheaton had spent a lot of his life convincing people he wasn't Wesley Crusher, but he takes a pretty light-hearted look at the Next Gen episodes featuring Wesley.

Yeah i just missed out on being able to chat with Wil on the boards I sometimes catch a tweet or two but never really speak with him. It is a shame some people had to be an jerk to him on the boards.

If all the pumps go offline, it's not my fault. :)

Oh HO! So YOU'RE the BBEG who makes the pumps go wonky? And what's with those stoopid receipts? Do they EVER print out correctly? Or is it just a neat way to piss a customer off by making them tromp inside and wait for a printout?

** spoiler omitted **

Our marketing group decided the best way to drive business inside, especially those people who insist on paying for their gas at the pump, is to force customers to go in for their receipts. :)

~shrugs~ If that happens, then I stop using that gas station.

Nah, I'd prefer that didn't happen. There's a variety of reasons for it happening: The printer runs out of paper and the beleaguered attendant is too busy to replace it (or doesn't want to bother replacing it), or the "out of paper" indicator isn't working, or the printer decides not to work anymore, or there's a software problem.

Asleep yet?

I don't mind once or twice. It is when it happenes all the time that I don't like.

Yep. Wil got the shaft by the boards. ~sighs~ Sometimes people can be jerks.

Again, I'll never understand the mindset that makes people permanently confuse a television character with a real-life person.

Admittedly, when the "Wil Save" column started up in Dungeon, I was like, "Yeah, right, this actor who had a geek role is a geek like us. *eye roll*"

Then I read the article, and I realized he was a geek, and the article wasn't just a "gig". I guess that's the difference--I went past that knee-jerk reaction.

That reminds me we need a new slang term.

geek
  Slang.

a carnival performer who performs sensationally morbid or disgusting acts, as biting off the head of a live chicken.

Nerd
Slang.
a stupid, irritating, ineffectual, or unattractive person.

Dork
Slang.
Vulgar Slang; The penis

Off to work again. :/

I'm off early(ish) today though, so I'll hopefully be home by 1
Of course Solnes will probably still be at work knowing my luck. I suppose I can put up with Moorluck all afternoon (hmmm... or is that he can put up with me?). ;)
