Other stuff in APG?

I think the "invisible items" method of balancing low-magic campaigns against book CR looks pretty nice. It would make a good addition to either the APG or the GMG.

I would love some variant options for any/all classes, and to see more, if not all, of the base classes get a prestige class of some kind.

Monks have Monks Robes (Good thing, they need them).
Casters have Pearls of Power and god knows what else.

Why not have a "Helm of the Death Rager" that gives Barbarians a bonus to their effective Barbarian level for level-dependent Rage Powers (effect-wise, not qualifying for) and for 'level' of Rage (i.e. Greater Rage, Mighty Rage). I see people complain and say Barbarians should get bumps to Rage earlier/faster, and that the level-scaling bonuses (to-hit or damage for one attack, AC vs. melee OR ranged) are weak especially given their limitations.

... So why not? Let 'em have it, just make it a magic item.

Another vote for more class variants. One of my absolute favorite features of PHB2 and the later Complete books.

Excited to see Paizo's take on "legacy" items.

Turin: KQ's spell-less ranger is in the PFSRD for free, in the community creations section.

I hope there is a section on magic items that improve over time! (Sometimes called Legacy Weapons)

It is an awesome concept, and a great alternative to constantly alternating gear.

We took a stab at this already in the Legacy of Fire adventure path.

I'm pretty sure we'll expand on it in the APG. It does seem to be something that folks want, after all. They won't be called legacy weapons, of course...

Of course not, they were Thread items in Earthdawn before they were integrated into 3.5 as legacy items...

That is awesome Tim4488! I would say that the spell-less Ranger is better overall, especially in a low-magic campaign.

And of course it can make for a nasty solo BBEG...

I'm glad you liked it ! :)

I'd love to see more options for animal companions or familiars. How about giving wizards some variation of what the purpose of the familiar is? Give different progression of stats and abilities of familiars based on whether they are assistant or body guard or whatever type familiars. Also possibly some feats for Druids, Rangers, Sorcerers and Wizards giving them the ability to take other types of creatures as familiars or animal companions (magical beasts, undead, dragons, constructs and so on (ok, only the magical beast and dragons would fit in with druids or rangers from the list I have, but I'm certain there are other thing) or allowing them to take more then one animal companion or familiar at higher levels.

However, I'm hoping Paizo will avoid the New Feat/New Spell model of, well, just about every other OGL book. I'm not saying don't have some, I just don't want them to be the bulk of the book.

I would like to echo this sentiment. I think that far more flavorful and interesting ideas then new spells and feats can be put into splatbooks, and would like to see this in play. I'd also like to see more low-cost utility items (things like WotC's Rod of Ropes).

The other thing I'd like to see is rules for handling vermin as animals (including as Animal Companions). Vermin make for some really cool mounts and the like, and their complete inability to be trained is kind of depressing.

EDIT: Just saw something in another thread that popped a thought in my head: Alternate Skill Uses. I would LOVE to see some new tricks for some of the skills (even if some came with relatively high DCs (20-30).
