I love seeing Paizo's early Pathfinder products getting updated and streamlined, so I am very excited about the Kobold King Anniversary Edition. What other early Pathfinder products is everyone interested in seeing updated?

For me, I would love to see:
Risen from the Sands
Entombed with the Pharaohs
The Pact Stone Pyramid
Doomsday Dawn

all streamlined into an adventure. Even better if the perspective of the story assumes the players are local Osirion adventurers dealing with the fall out of the Ruby Prince's policy of opening Osirion's tombs to explorers. And even better yet if the players unite Sekh-pa-Mefer with his canopic jars (which includes his brain) and restores the Pharaoh of Sphinxes to wholeness and gaining a powerful ally. An ally who is prophesized to return in Osirion's time of need. Risen from the Sands sets this story up but, unfortunately the conclusion only provided the option to loot the tomb. If the player's don't restore Sekh-pa-Mefer and instead get the nasty cursed item, lifting the curse could require uniting the cursed item with the canopic jars which still results in restoring Sekh-pa-Mefer. With Ramlock being the big bad of the adventure, I am guessing this would bring the players to around level 15 or 16.

What other adventures does everyone want to see updated?

I'd be down for Doomsday Dawn to be updated to the full ruleset. It's a fun premise and I think has a few enemies that haven't been updated to 2E yet, too.

I’d sooner see new stuff than old, personally. I certainly wouldn’t mind an Iron Gods port and rework, but I’d honestly prefer a sequel.

Also, this is in the wrong forum.

There are some obvious choices for me as far as APs are concerned. Strange Aeons, Iron God's, and Reign of Winter are my favorites.

As far as modules, though? That is a bit tougher. The ones I really like are more standalone adventures.

The Price of Immortality Trilogy of Crypt of the Everflame, Mask of the Living God, and City of Golden Death would be absolutly fantastic to get the same treatment

Moved from the Lost Omens-Products forum to the Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion forum for visibility, as adventures don't fall under the Lost Omen line.

I'd love Skull & Shackles 2E. Specially since the ship to ship combat rules were a bit lacking back then, but know we have working vehicle rules.

And now I feel bad because I didn't originally consider the conversion of the We Be Goblins line.

The Harrowing. A demiplane built into a deck of cards is just too cool of an idea

Since there's been some movement on the Razmir front, it might be nice to see the Price of Immortality adventures get an anniversary update. (Crypt of the Everflame, Masks of the Living God, and City of Golden Death) I have fond memories of running City of Golden Death before I knew anything about the setting, so there's that.

Gamemastery Guide (p 174+) and Archives of Nethys I would say.

Vehicles in Guns And Gears too.

I'd love it if they had a yearly book that updates a bunch of Adventure modules. Not just to 2e, but brought them more in line with current lore, if there's been any major revisions since.

Specifically though, I'd like Conquest of Bloodsworn Vale to get updated. Take the opportunity to flesh out the fort, and the men and women guarding it.

I would love to see a 2e update/expansion for the Dragon's Demand, alongside a sequel involving the real Aeteperax returning as a Ravener or Wyrmwraith.

I really wish Paizo to reboot Thornkeep and The Emerald Spire Superdungeon. The Thornkeep book should incorporate not only Thornkeep, but also the whole of Echo Wood. It should also include the detailed gazetteers for other settlements like Fort Inevitable, fort Riverwatch, and Silverlake. The Emerald Spire should become much bigger and deeper. It would be very satisfying if it includes mythic rules as well, likely granting the PCs mythic tiers once they defeat the final boss and touch the Emerald Root. As it has been more than a decade since the publication of Thornkeep, The Emerald Spire Superdungeon, and The Crusader Road, I think it would be more convenient to completely ignore these previous books and reboot the whole region entirely.

In my head canon, Aeteperax was destined to destroy Aroden but found himself first without a purpose and then stranded across time after hazardous experimentations with temporal energies. Which suffused the place where the adventure took place.

So that the players, after completing the adventure, were sent back in time in various periods of the place's history (so basically using the same maps) until they could finally face a younger, though still formidable, Aeteperax and defeat him.

They thereby gained all together the mythic powers of the much older version. Enabling them finally to face an Evil Aroden, either raised as an undead or coming from a parallel timeline, so that they could fulfill Aeteperax' s destiny in his place.

Note that they siphoning Aeteperax's mythic power was what allowed the lady knight to kill him.

Full time loop.

Sounds epic.

The end of the adventure concluded with the real Aeteperax's bones having gone missing. Can't imagine they became bone meal. Lol

If they could ever clear the rights/etc, for a reprint of the old Dragon/Dungeon magazine APs updated to 2e, I'd love to see that. I think I've tracked down all but one of the issues, but would love to have a 2e adaption of the APs that got them started.

I really hope that in time Paizo gets around to converting the more popular 1st edition APs to 2nd edition...Kingmaker has been incredible, and I've got a new group of second edition players that have never experienced the old APs.

That being said, the modules would be really neat to see covered as well. Crypt of the Everflame, Masks of the Living God and City of Golden Death are an obvious grouping. I've never run a better introduction adventure than Dragon's Demand. There are a lot more that have potential.

With some higher level APs being released (looking at Fists of the Ruby Phoenix), it would be nice to have a couple of adventures to bring characters up to those levels.

I'm obviously not working for Paizo, but it seems like if they were able to release a greatest hits adventure line, updated to 2nd edition, it would do well. I know I'd sign up for a subscription.

(Luckily, PF2 is so easy to convert to, that we don't need every AP redone, etc. But Iron Gods would be awesome)
I'm really digging this Kobold King reboot. Been playing it over the last week.

I'll just second the votes for Dragon's Demand and Crypt of the Everflame.

You're right that it's very easy to convert to...but having a bound hardcover with new rules without having to convert it would be incredible.

Maybe Legendary Games will continue to convert the APs for those of us who are interested. I've got a list of about ten that I'd be super interested to have on my shelf, especially if they go the route of expansion and tweaking that they took with Kingmaker.

Oh, they're nice, for sure.

Wouldn't want them having to split their resources between putting out new stuff or converting old. But, yea, if there was a licensed qualified 3rd party who would churn stuff out. PDF and even print-on-demand. That would be awesome.
I'm just sad that one of my favorite APs (Serpent's Skull) is not very popular at all.

Doomsday Dawn would be interesting, but would need a major rewrite – after all, there is a planned TPK about halfway through. It is also written for multiple parties that take their turns with the episodes.

That would be a dream. Savage Tides and Age of Wyrms were so great to read.

Even if they had to update them to both PF2 and 5e (or 6e? whatever the next iteration is) in order to make everyone's lawyers happy, I know a lot of gamers would instantly scoop up a collected edition of both of those APs.

Oh, for sure. Like they did Abomination Vaults and Kingmaker for 5E. It could be like that for the 3.5 APs from Dungeon magazine.

Savage Tide was simply amazing. Could I run it from the magazine and convert it? I'm sure I could. But to have it printed up in a big volume, also with PDFs and VTT support. In Fantasy Grounds or Foundry with lighting and line of sight... wow. That'd be something.

If folks get a kick out of things like Kingmaker and Crown of the Kobold King, please let us know! Leaving reviews not only helps us see what folks like, but also helps us find out what parts we can learn from and improve on. And of course, sales are a big part too. We're much more likely to continue to periodically update and revise and expand older adventures like this if we feel like folks are interested and engaged! I know that I have several potential projects in my own head I'd love to see us tackle in a similar way—not to the detriment of putting new content out, of course, but to supplement it. But feedback, reviews, and sales will certainly help make these sorts of products more likely. (Whether those happen here at paizo.com or wherever.)

Adventure to run prior to Rise of the Runelords

Remnants of the Runelords:

The Godsmouth Heresy (Level 1-4): The Church of Pharasma in Kaer Maga has discreetly recruited the adventurers to investigate the theft of corpses from the Godsmouth Ossuary. Sent into the crypts below Kaer Maga, the PCs encounter undead, sin magic, and the plans of a former Pharasmin. With the PCs' success they report back to the Priests of Pharasma about their encounters. The sin magic is of particular interest as problems with similar sin magic have been reported by the Priests of Pharasma in Magnimar. The PCs are sent to Magnimar to further investigate.
Dawn of the Scarlet Sun (Level 5): Arriving in Magnimar the PCs are sent to the Shadow District to investigate reports of sin magic. However, upon arriving in Underbridge the local guard approaches the PCs as they may be able to assist them. A series of murders in the area has terrified the locals and the Guard is desperate to get assistance. Can the PCs play bait and survive long enough to put a stop to the murders?
New Chapter (Level 6): Upon putting an end to the murders the PCs learn that the creature commiting the murders had recently escaped from an ancient monument south of Magnimar. The PCs investigate the monument and its sin magic. During their investigation they learn a powerful wizard had tampered with the monument. The wizard has since left for Kaer Maga where she plans to unleash powerful sin magic, dramatically increasing her power. With this new power she will establish herself as the leader of a new empire fueled by Thassilonian sin magic.
Seven Swords of Sin (Level 7-8): The PCs have rushed back to Kaer Maga in an effort to stop the rise of a new Thassilonian Empire. The PCs once again find themselves delving beneath Kaer Maga. Will the deadly dungeons of Kaer Maga prevent the PCs from stopping the rise of a modern day Runelord.

Adventure to run prior to War of the Crown

Secrets of the Crown:

Tomb of the Iron Medusa (Level 14-15): House Adella’s rise and fall has largely been forgotten, however, there family history holds a secret that could at minimum bring disgrace to the Taldan throne, or at worse be used by Stavain III’s enemies to fuel a campaign to delegitimize his claim to the throne. Hanoris Dellum, a wealthy merchant in Zimar has found evidence that he is a distant heir of the Adella family. Hanoris is looking for evidence that would restore the Adella family name to honor. During his research Hanoris found references to the Adella family crypt in the Zimar Archives (see Pathfinder 130: City in the Lion’s Eye pg. 66 for information on the Zimar Archives). Additionally, he found an heirloom that appears to be associated with the Adella Crypt. Hanoris hires the PCs as their skills and reputations suggest that they have the ability to locate the lost crypt and neutralize any dangers contained therein. Unbeknownst to Hanoris, House Adella had meddled in the affairs of Hell, and received no less than a granddaughter of one of the Lords of Hell as a patron.
The PCs are tasked with traveling to the crypt and searching for any evidence that may clear the Adella family name and for finding an intelligent sword called Infensus Mucro that may have additional knowledge on the Adella family. Any additional treasures in the tomb Hanoris is unconcerned with.
While searching the crypt the PCs eventually meet Suasandra the Iron Medusa. Suasandra was betrayed by the Adella family and bound to the crypt. However, the binding did provide an escape clause, the Necropyre Crystal must be willingly returned to Suasandra. The Necropyre Crystal is a powerful artifact that was gifted to Suasandra by Asmodeus, so that she could easily gather innocent souls while on the material plane and carry them directly to Hell. Suasandra offers to bargain with the PCs, if they return the Necropyre Crystal to her, she will in turn, provide them with the knowledge to awaken Infensus Mucro. Suasandra’s connection with the Necropyre Crystal provides her with vague impressions of the crystal’s location. She can tell it is near the Taldan town of Talamir, but beyond that she does not have specifics. The PCs return to Hanoris with the information they have learned. Hanoris reveals that Talamir was destroyed some time ago by a volcano, however the ruins of the town are possibly accessible. Conveniently, a friend of Hanoris has recently invited him to attend a wedding in Dalaston, not far from the ruins of Talamir.

Blood of Dragonscar (Level 16-17): Hanoris and the PCs arrive in Dalaston only to learn that the town has recently been subject to attacks by a red dragon. Additionally, the ruler of Dalaston, Saleno Dalassenos, has hired a questionable savior by the name of Eldran Tesh whose solution may be worse than the problem. While Hanoris prepares to attend the wedding, the PCs are left to search for the Necropyre Crystal, slay a dragon, and figure out what Eldran Tesh is up to.
The Necropyre Crystal is an artifact forged in Hell that captures the souls of those who are slain by the crystal’s bearer. The souls are then wreathed in hellfire in ever burning torment. Sausandra is able to sense that the Necropyre Crystal is engorged with souls and makes a deceptively simple contract with the PCs. She will tell them how to awaken Infensus Mucro in exchange for the Necropyre Crystal and she will destroy the crystal releasing the souls from imprisonment within the crystal.
Before being bound to the Adella family crypt, Sausandra had plans to slowly gather enough innocent souls so that she could use them to fuel her own ambitions. Sausandra intends to destroy the Necropyre Crystal, absorbing its power along with the souls trapped inside. This will break the binding holding Sausandra in the Adella crypt. Additionally, this will elevate Sausandra to become an Emergent Queen, a quasi deity that aspires to become a true Queen of Night. Sausandra’s areas of concern include architecture, metal, and evil urban planners.
After the Necropyre Crystal left Sausandra’s possession, how the crystal eventually ended up in Talamir is lost to time. Talamir miners accidently awoke the red dragon Horranath, who quickly rampaged, attacking the various mining operations and destroying the city of Talamir. In one of these rampages Horranath unwittingly consumed the bearer of the Necropyre Crystal and the crystal itself. Since then the Necropyre Crystal has remained lodged in Horranath’s stomach, essentially making Horranath the bearer of the Necropyre Crystal. As a result every person Horranath has slain since her consuming of the crystal has had their soul trapped within the Necropyre Crystal.

New Chapter (Level 18): Sausandra was true to her contract and provided the PCs with the information on how to awaken Infensus Mucro. Once the sword is awakened it divulges the very awful truth of the rise and fall of the Adella family. The sword then possesses Hanoris, intending to use Hanoris to reveal the secrets of Stavain III’s lineage, sending Taldor into political turmoil. The PCs must free Hanoris from Infensus Mucro before the sword destabilizes an entire nation. The PCs manage to separate Hanoris from Infensus Mucro freeing him from the swords possession. Unfortunately this only enrages Infensus Mucro and the sword uses its power to project a Weapon Avatar, a humanoid shaped avatar that powerful intelligent items can project to essentially wield themselves. The PCs must defeat Infensus Mucro and put the sword back into a state of dormancy.

Radiant Oath

I know there would be a lot of interest in Wrath, Strange Aeons, Tyrant's Grasp, and the runelord trilogy, but they each have problems.
Wrath--really wants to go to level 30, and bring in the mythic paths from the video game. Can we have a party with an aeon and an azata in it? I wouldn't want to push alignment conflicts in a high-profile product.
Strange Aeons--licensing issues with Chaosium
Tyrant's grasp--Just came out for some people.
Runelord trilogy--would require committing to three adventure paths.

I think Curse of the crimson throne or Hell's rebels would attract less immediate attention, but are better targets for remakes. I'd love sequels (thematic or direct) to iron gods, ironfang invasion, Mummy's mask, or War for the crown.

What I like about Crown of the Kobold King is that there is sufficient material there for a modern adventure, there is plenty of nostalgia, and there are Easter eggs to the lore that would lead to the Tryant’s return.

As a fan of the non-AP adventures (PF1+PF2), what I really appreciate is the ability to have a specific themed scenario where players can experiment with unusual character concepts within a tight level range. I love the setup of No Response From Deepmar, for example, but the “Con Air” concept would get tired over 20 levels.

Looking through my 1e catalog, the adventures that seem most “ripe” for a similar treatment would be 1) the Crypt of the Everflame series, 2) the We Be Goblins series (although these have historically been free), 3) Dragon’s Demand, and 4) Emerald Spire.

Looking through the rest, there are a ton of adventures that I think would be SUPER interesting, but a lot of story would have to be added to make a similar sized adventure. I wonder if it would not be better to simply design a “spiritual successor” to the original with a new story instead. I don’t know. But the adventures that fall into this category for me include 1) Carrion Hill, 2) Feast of Ravenmoor, 3) Midnight Mirror/Cradle of Night (more Nidal please!), 4) Doom Comes to Dustspawn, 5) Ire of the Storm/Seers of the Drowned City, and 6) Down the Blighted Path. But I my opinions are based more on the adventure hook than personal experience with the adventure.

My group is going to be going thru Second Darkness. Gosh, it'd be nice if it was updated, so we didn't have to do it...

But, yea. I agree the Crypt of the Everflame series would be good. So would Dragon's Demand.

There's not enough money in 3.5 APs, sadly.

I have to wonder how RPG creators feel about being asked to constantly rework their 'greatest hits' in new systems instead of creating new content. I feel like it might not be a huge thing, like singers playing their best received songs, but I don't know.

You can get all the lawyers in the world, but if neither party is interested, that won't help you.
