Im Knight class fan, so, some of this suggestions could be influenced. Can we have something like him later on?
All others classes on Playtest will probably be caster, so, Cavalier need to be really good (not in power, but in attractiveness).
Skills: I dont think he need 4+Int. 2+Int is good enough, like Paladins and Warriors, if you want to play a Social Warrior, you need to decrease its combat power (like bard, in my opinion).
Challenge: can be reworked, just a Sneak Attack isnt a good point, I think attack, damage and AC bonus better, maybe a skill bonus for some orders.
Mount: This is the reason for existence of the class, then I believe that should be evolved through the levels. This mount need to be different from Paladins. Paladins can summon their mounts, which are intelligent. Cavaliers, need to incrise mounted land speed, ride a flying mount and improse its flying ability or something like that.
Win something while mount should be nice. Less penality should be great.
We need to remember that mount dependent character will have problems in a lot of places (forest, dungerous, mountain and so on).
Oaths: This is new and like it, Ill test some. Like Clerics Domain, this will be a lot of customization to the Cavalier.
Bonus Feat: I think he need 1 feat at 2nd level and 1 every three levels after, but, he need to select in a restriced list.
Cavalier's Charge: Nice ability, he need more of then, he need to be best on mounted combat.
Expert Trainer: Good one, but you can learn it early.
Banner: I think he dont need a permanet bonus to a 60fts party. He can inspire a party some times per day and for a duration.
The highest level char I test was level 10, so, Ill not comment the others abilities.
In resume, this class need to be unique. He need to be a good melee warrior and no more than that, but he need to be best Mounted.
