This book is soooo going to ROCK! And I'm not even in it. :)

Huzzah! *does the happy dance*

The cultkiller is my first published character class. Any comments are welcome and appreciated.

Shout out to Lou Agresta and ericthecleric from the Paizo boards for taking the time to offer me such useful design notes in the eleventh hour.

Even though the portrait of a cult killer is holding a basket hilt sword, the class is all about exotic weapon proficiency, so feel free to also picture him wielding anything from a simple kama to something glamorously outlandish like a tri-section staff made outta living dachshunds. Whatever your definition of exotic is. ;)

The Cultkiller made me think to Solomon Kane, so Hugh portrayed him like the famous R.E. Howard puritan... anyway... my fault :)

This is a slight threadjack, but I haven't received my password yet for the 0one site.

Will you be having a holiday sale on Great City material?

Thanks.

Please contact me for your password problem.

As a matter of fact 0one Games never make sales (we will make a single exception next year, because we celebrate Ten Years of 0one Games).
However many products are sold in bundles offering you a good discount.

That's incredible, Hal! I just saw the Solomon Kane graphic novel and B&N last night and thought the very same thing.

Perhaps windows gave you that thin bar up top that requires you to okay the DL?

Nope...I see nothing to click on that makes download happen...I can see the enlarge picture option...

So you registered, had it in the cart and went to checkout?

Ah...so I must remember how to sign-in to have the option, eh? I'll burrow around in one of my email accts, as I think my reg info is saved there.

Hey, now that the book's been released, and having seen the shot of the Races art, I'm curious as to what those four races are.

Hey, first I want to say that I'm glad you are interested in the book. I'm not sure if you're familiar with the Campaign Setting or the series of adventures, but if not, here's the quick and fast introduction to the new races. The Azindrelians are the indigenous folks. The Kortezians are the empirical ones who came over and took over the Azis. The Gur are goblin blooded, and can take the form of bugbear-blooded, hobgoblin-blooded, and plain ol' goblin-blooded humanoids. The half-giants are people who are descended from a long-lived race of protean giants in the lands. The half-giants are all cross-spawned halfbreeds who've only heard stories of their ancestors greatness.

I may be somewhat wrong on some of this, as I've only done specific work on parts of the setting.

I'll admit that the Cultkiller base class desn't do much to draw me into the Great City, but if the idea behind the two products (Campaign & Player's Books) is anything like Ptolus, you have a guaranteed lulu sale next month!

Thanks for your comment Ravendragon. And not to worry, the cultkiller isn't indicative of the overall feel of the Great City setting, it's just one of the many shiny doo-dads on the console.

I'm sure you'll find enough wondrous material in the setting books to fuel many a great campaign. :)

One last thing...

The other classes in the book, IMO, wire better into this setting and any urban campaign for that matter. I just saw that there was enough cult activity in the Great City to fuel a destroyer of cults class and I wanted to mix a witch hunting agent of god type with Mickey from Natural Born Killers, with Jet Li doing a weapons form. In short, I wanted a class that, when in action, was very metal.

::strikes a power chord::

Thanks.

Will ask Vic if he can do this for me...

So their human ethnicities rather than "race = species" as mostly is the case when this is used in D&D-type fantasy.

Hrm, I didn't receive your e-mail either, and it is not located in my spam folder. I wonder if comcast is blocking your 0one e-mails at the server or something. Can you forward that e-mail to my other address?

Total awesomeness about the bundle! It's going to be christmas in the Great City for me, methinks.

Thanks.

Mario,

I finally received confirmation from the 0one website, so I seem to be able to receive e-mails from the website now, which is a good thing.

Thanks for the help and the great products!
