Any word on when we will see more Foci for the Oracle ?

Round 1: Cavalier and Oracle

I'm kind of reserving judgment in a few areas, hoping to see a broader range of examples.

I guess that's a NO.

Sovereign Court

Seriously while flame worked well enough for my player I can't help but feel that none of the foci really fit his character.

Same problem. I have a PC that would be great if multiclassed into it conceptually, but the current foci are just too limited and thematically inappropriate.

Having a similar issue here (MADNESS focus plx!) but I'm not too worried about it. It's the very beginning of the playtest, it's understandable the class is still pretty narrow in its focus (no pun intended).

I'm assuming they will release them prior to begining playtest on the next round of classes, so we shouldn't have too long to wait.

I'm just kind of doing the "pee pee dance" in the meantime ;)

The new foci are currently on design hold as I finish up some of the other classes. I will get to them soon, but I do not have a specific date as of yet.

Jason,

You do know what happens if someone doing the pee pee dance, has to dance for too long right ?
;)

You released an incomplete playtest class, but the playtest has to wait until the other classes are finished? Seems like Mr Bulmahn is having a difficult time....Focusing.

He released enough for people to start play-testing the class. It's better to have a smaller set at the beginning so play-testing is more focused.

He released enough to get the playtest going, and now has to focus on keeping it going yes.

If you stopped yourself long enough to consider the amount of work and effort that goes into this, you would realize that they are probably all having a hard time focusing, especially those charged with watching the constant responses both on this and other forums, and you might not make such inane and ungracious sounding comments.

Given that they don't HAVE to playtest a thing....I'm grateful that they are willing to make their lives hell for months at a time.

Because for some reason no one has done this.

Thank you, Jason, for letting us know.

Well, I see it as more of a give and take. We, the players, are dedicating our time to do what we love doing, playing DnD and making new builds(for free). While Jason and others are doing what they love doing, writing(and getting paid for it). As I see it, we are doing each other a favor, but we are unable to do this favor in the best fashion, as the class is as a whole, incomplete. We will have to test an incomplete Oracle now, and then test a complete Oracle again later. This seems counter-intuitive to me.

p.s. I do appreciate the notice that lets us know what's going on, I just feel we could better serve Paizo as a whole(and help to create a better final product) if we were able to have a focused playtest of complete classes.

Is it better to test 100% of a class for 2 weeks, or 40% of a class for 8 weeks and 100% of the same class for 2 weeks? Because you're asking for the first scenario.

In the video game business, what we're doing now would actually be termed an alpha test. The classes are not feature-complete (a requirement for beta testing), but they are fully playable (a requirement for alpha testing). Alpha testing is more important that beta testing, because once you hit beta, you don't have time to change anything fundamental about the class.
