Does this apply in Pathfinder?
from the SRD:
"Energy Attacks
Acid and sonic attacks deal damage to most objects just as they do to creatures; roll damage and apply it normally after a successful hit. Electricity and fire attacks deal half damage to most objects; divide the damage dealt by 2 before applying the hardness. Cold attacks deal one-quarter damage to most objects; divide the damage dealt by 4 before applying the hardness."
I was just curious. It came up in our game yesterday. The wording in the Pathfinder rulebook is a bit different.
Thanks
Mike

This appears have changed a bit, see the PRD
Energy Attacks: Energy attacks deal half damage to most objects. Divide the damage by 2 before applying the object's hardness. Some energy types might be particularly effective against certain objects, subject to GM discretion. For example, fire might do full damage against parchment, cloth, and other objects that burn easily. Sonic might do full damage against glass and crystal objects.

I can't find where force is listed as an "energy".
The glossary was generally useless, but on the various "resist energy" spells they All list "acid, cold, electricity, fire, or sonic" as being the culprits.
[Force] is usually its own subtype, rather than being "energy" or whatnot.
Feel free to correct me though if I'm wrong.
(the lack of search on PRD is driving me craaazyyy)

agreed, but note that the most common force damage, the magic missile spell, can't be used on objects at all, since it only targets creatures.
