Yes there is: PAIZO.

Whew - nearly six months since the last activity on this thread.

Some interesting changes are coming. Tuesday the Noctis-class dedicated salvage vessel hits the game, with BPOs in ORE stations - all 4 of them. Getting my j-clone out of there in 1 piece with a handful of prints is going to be an expensive gamble. To the tune of two billion ISK for 5 prints. Ideally, I can log on mere seconds after downtime and be underway in two minutes...

On 14th Dec they are yoinking the Learning skills. Everyone will get base attributes of 20/20/20/20/19 plus implants. The SP in Learning will be reimbursed to allocate as you see fit. I can only hope that a free neural remap is also part of that deal.

In the meanwhile, GM-run incursions by Sanshas Nation continue sporadically. There was one yesterday in three systems in low-sec space somewhere. One planet was almost completely abducted. Only a few hundred scattered survivalists out of a colony of nearly 4 million souls was carted off into who-knows-where in the belly of some "Reaver" wormhole stronghold. Best guess is that some 50 - 75 million civilians have been hauled away kicking and screaming. Exacerbating the situation: several demi-gawds-of-space have chosen to ally themselves with the Nation.

The time to prepare materiel and train for combatting theses incursions is now. Best estimates from HUMINT assets place the second phase of these Incursions beginning within the next 30 to 60 days.

So much to do, so little time, so few resources ...

there were things I loved about that game and things i detest about that game; ooooh; conflicted.

Well, if you don't want to pay to reactivate your account, you could wait until after the mid-December update that removes Learning skills and get a 30-day buddy trial. THEN decide, ya know? :)

Wow - about 700 people podded in one of the two systems today ... plus that number again podded along the primary route than an autopilot will do for you ... gankfest today it would seem.

^_^

Jhae, your Noctis BPO is awaiting you via contract from the slackerman. ^^

It would appear that CCP is spending some serious money on advertising: they have an EVE Online trailer, according to their news stuff, as part of the previews for TRON Legacy when it is in theatres.

O.o

How awesome will that be ... an EVE trailer on, say, IMAX ?

As are Missus Turin and I. The movie will probably be an expensive eye candy fest ... but that trailer ... prime motivation to go. :)

Ok, the 30 second trailer .. laaaaame, not anywhere nearly as jaw-droppingly awesome as the full Incursion trailer.

On 18th Jan 2004 "I" was "born" in EVE ... been an interesting 7 years. Wonder if I should yammer about some of the stuff ... good times.

In two or three days' time, the full-on Incursions are likely to begin. Are you ready ... is anyone really ready ...

pops brewsky

Personally, I'm hoping for a massive all-hub series of Incursions omnomnom'ming the snot out of things.

Oh, and two tidbits of note:

1.) Hulkageddon IV (anti-miner huntfest with spiffeh prizes and of course the intent to collect wads of "carebear tears") is slated to start about the beginning of February, to run through the 13th or 14th.

2.) "Jitageddon" is also being bandied about. In this case, to band together and "gank" (covertly scan and determine targets ripe for plundering, overtly "suicide gank" the aforementioned plunderable targets) as many AFK and semi-AFK ships carry "fat loots" as they can throughout the entire month of February.

Just a hint ...

The Incursions require serious firepower above the "Scout" (entry level). Once you go in, you either win - or lose your ship. They won't pod you ... but they will neut (energy drain), ECM (turn off your sensors) and jackhammer the snot out of you solo.

They're smart, capable and cheat - I want frigates and cruisers that fire torpedoes at two or three times the normal rate of fire ... and do "Sleeper" style damage ... >.<

Dane Brasten is coming back from pod sleep and looking to rumble both high-sec missions and some Sansha incursions. Any Paizo groups active and looking of an extra flyer?

Drop by "Bengalchat" if you like, there's 3 players (my corp) in there. Jhaelin and his alt stop by from time to time, as do some other podlings we know.

I think Lilith the Cookie Monstress has a corp with her hubby and perhaps some other Paizonians as well, although I don't know if they have a public chat channel available or not.

Incursions update: The first incursion to be crushed under foot was in my home constellation of Algintal, defeated in the first two days. \o/

Several others have fallen in the days since then, but it was something special to be (however peripherally) involved on sending the first live incursion packing to the bowels of w-space whence it came.

Threadnomancy! because I re-upped and wanted to get an idea of the player/paizo landscape in EVE right now.

I still play when I have time...im out in null atm (EMP) but i might be moving back to hi-sec I haven't had alot of time to play so im not contributing as much as i should in our current deployment.

It's funny you mention going back to high sec... because I didn't when I quit. So now I'm stuck in Period Basis, 30 jumps away from even medium sec, and apparently they removed the 7th High slot on the Drake so my fitting with 7 MLs isn't allowed to launch to space. I'm corp-less so don't have access to the Fittings facility, so am quite literally trapped in TPAR-G.

I may try and sell all my stuff and then pod myself so my medical clone wakes up in Jita instead of trying to fly out. On the whole, the situation is hilarious. I'm such a nub :P

Yeah I could see how that could be bad looks like you only real option, as you said, is contract everything cheap then take the pod express back.

Myself when I left hi-sec I left everything there in the event I had to go back lol.

I play. Just haven't been on for a while as I'm training up some really long running skills to get a particular T2 ship.

I put some stuff up on contract for a week at roughly 10% below market prices; I'm not sure how well it will sell but we'll see (maybe should have done 25% below?). I was able to fully strip the fittings from my ship, and otherwise toss everything valuable in my cargo hold (excluding missiles!). I then made 25 jumps through null-sec in a completely un-fit Drake without incident! Probably the highlight of my EVE "career" so far. :P

I finally docked on the edge of Amarr space in a 0.5 sec system and logged for the night. It's 25 more jumps to Jita and there rest of my assets, but I can autopilot on that since nothing in between is below 0.7 sec.

My assets from the last few years are hella scattered. LOL. It would take an entire day just getting everything. Some things were left behind in hostile null-sec when the alliance I was in got attacked. I don't expect to see that stuff any sort of soon.

Sovereign Court

I was mission running in a mach and occasionally PVPing in a mini mach (I dont rememebr the name of it anymore) when I stopped playing. Its been awhile. I remember a worm hole collapsing on us once when we were fishing sleeper tech. The new entrance was deep in low sec and we had to make a dash for hi-sec with cargo holds full of very expensive loot. Good times.

Played through the mining and exploration tutorials; exploration seems like a lot of fun and I could definitely see combining the two and mining in gravitic signatures! In that vein, I moved my Venture out to a 0.5-sec system and tried to mine. I was instantly set upon by Guristas who jammed me immediately. They weren't doing a lot of damage, but since I couldn't fight back (not being able to target-lock them) I had to head back to the station and dock and research the best way to augment my sensors - either boosting the Venture's magneto-? sensors or getting a different type altogether. I've got T2 drones to defense myself which won't be a problem... as long as I can target them!

Since your using drones make sure they are set to aggressive (its in the little box in the upper left corner of the drone window). If they are on aggressive and the drones are out (of course) they will auto-attack anything that shoots at you even if you dont have it locked. (90% of the time they can be a little odd).
