I'm working on an Excel-based Pathfinder RPG character sheet and have a question about using the Pathfinder RPG logo. (It's listed in Paizo's community use registry, and you can find the Google group here.)

I want to put the Pathfinder RPG logo in the top-left corner of the sheet. However, I want it in black-and-white to keep the file size down and make it easier to print the sheet on non-color printers.

Paizo's policy, however, prohibits altering the color of the logo. Would Paizo consider letting me use the black-and-white image? I'd be happy to provide the image for review.

Thank you.

This doesn't seem too radical, good luck with your request.

You may render it in black and white in situations where color is not available.

However, I think you'll find that the presence of a single color logo (vs black and white) will not appreciably increase either the file size or the printing time in almost every case.

Non color printer Vic. AKA he's in the color not available bracket.

If you print coloured images on e.g. a black and white laser printer, they just come out in greyshade. So technically there's no reason to make them black and white (unless we're talking "real" black and white and not just dumping the colours of the logo). No matter what, as Vic said, the gain in size is probably neglible.

Hey, guys:

I was talking about no grey. Just black and white. I have an ancient printer myself that sometimes chokes on images. However, using the color image would look better on the screen, and I hadn't considered that the image size is small enough it probably wouldn't matter. So I'll stick with that.

Thanks for the prompt replies, everyone.
