Adventures in Osirion...

Scarab Sages

Love the Osirion location. I've long wanted to put an extended campaign in an Egyptian setting, and now I've got a good place to start from.

So, what other adventures/sourcebooks are Egyptian style? Necromancer Games' Necropolis, I-6 Pyramid, certainly. Entombed with the Pharaohs and Pact Stone Pyramid yes, but what else? Any edition, any game system, what adventures happen in the desert, in the shadow of a pyramid?

Magic Skull Game's "Grimoire Viperian" product has a lot of exotic and serpent-themed stuff which fits very nicely into an Egyptian/Osirion game:

New "deadly" versions of snakes with nastier and more realist poisons such as the Deadly King Cobra, Deadly Spitting Cobra, Deadly Black Mamba

Sentient serpents (a template applied to any snake) which are intelligent and self-aware, and have unique special abilities, often including levels of sorcerer or other classes. These make great villains and unexpected, surprising minion monsters.

Prestige classes such as the Serpent Temple Warrior, Serpent Magus, Serpentine Necromancer, to name a few.

The Pyro, a new base class: a roguish type who uses torches held in his off-hand with deadly and distracting effectiveness and whose dabblings in alchemy allow him to create special alchemical torches and brew mixture which he can spit and ignite. Makes for a good tomb robber character or NPC.

The Shapeshifter, a new base class: an individual with an innate ability to shapechange, including taking on the forms of legendary mythical beasts, and eventually giants and dragons.

Tons of new spells, many with a serpentine or horror theme.

Check it out sometime!

Silver Crusade

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It kind of finally sold out on the Paizo store, but if you can find a copy of Hamunaptra anywhere I wholeheartedly recommend it. It was made for 3.5 and is easy to carry over to PF. It has a LOT of material to further flesh out Osirion for your games, such as Egyptian-themed takes on most of the core races(along with a new "noble gnoll"/Anubis-like race).

It's probably the best Ancient Egypt-themed game resource out there.

(want an Osirion AP oh so much)

Ahh, the Anubis guys were my favorite parts of the Mummy (Scorpion King?) movies. They were also in Stargate, though as sci-fi types. Still cool!

And then we got one!

I really enjoyed Hamunaptra, thank you for suggesting it. A bit different from the standard Osirion, but the Great Sphinxes were a blast to play around with.

Now if we could convince Wizards to re-release Desert of Desolation.

The Desert of Desolation! I remember those adventures - good times.

Paizo's Osirion adventures promise to completely blow away anything Egyptian-related I've seen done for the game in a very long time. Thank you, Paizo!
