Greater Magic Fang and druid wildshape

Rules Questions

I didn't find a real answer to that question

Let's consider I have a druid wildshaped in tiger.
I want that all my attacks to be enchanted ( 5 attacks considering the rake attacks).

How many greater magic fang should I cast on myself so that all my attacks are enchanted?

If 5, then what is the design idea behind it? I don't really understand the balance here.

Thanks

The descriptions on the pdf page 309 say that Magic Fang affects 1 natural attack. While Greater Magic Fang will provide up to +5 to a single natural atack or +1 to all of a creatures natural attacks.

So as a tiger you can give all five of your natural attacks a +1 enhancement bonus to attack and damage and the ability to bypass damage reduction(magic) with a single casting of Greater Magic Fang.

hello,

Thanks.

My question was more: How many greater magic fang so as to get +5 bonus to all attacks? 5? (one per claw and one for the bite?) or three? (one for the rake, one for the claws and one for the bite?)

Thanks

For all 5 attacks to be enhanced to the maximum of the spells ability you have to cast one spell per attack, which would be 5 for a tiger.

(I have not seen the tiger stats, but assume the rake is two separate rear claw attacks)

And this is where the amulet of mighty fists comes into play. It's rediculously overpriced for a monk to pick up for his unarmed strikes, but for a tiger with 5 natural attacks? It's a beauty. 5,000 for the first +1 worth, and then it goes on up. Doesn't require a +1 enhancement bonus to attack and damage if you choose not to go for it.

(Also I should point out, the Superior Magic Fang spell, from... I believe it was in Dragon Magic, and I think it was reprinted in the spell compendium. Wherever it is, it's a 4th level spell that functions as Greater Magic Fang in terms of the value of the bonus, but hits all natural weapons at once.)

Both options seem viable to me. Just make sure the Superior Magic Fang does not have requirements beyond the characters abilities. If it does I would suggest it be 2 spell levels higher than Greater Magic Fang.

Requirements beyond the character's abilities? Not quite sure what your referring to there Grandfather.

As far as I recall Dragon Magic requires a character to have access to certain domains or race.

Like having Dragon/scalykind domain or being dragon, or having certain natural weapons/breathweapons.
I imagine there might be restrictions in some of those spells preventing a normal druid from using them.

Oh, right, those. Yeah, those were present for several spells, but not for this one. (Which, strangely enough, is on both the druid AND sorcerer/wizard spell lists. My money says it was done to give it to high level dragons but eh, it's cool)

I would use it RAW, and if it appears to be too powerful then bump it up to 5th lvl. But if you plan on doing it this way, let your players know about it before hand, so that it does not come as a surprise if you chose to do it.
