Looks like they found one.
It must be someone's animal companion, though, because it's not very "dire." They're petting it and it's not devouring them!

That lil sucker's kinda sweet. :) Me wonna pet it.
I don't know why; that little thing just creeps me out. I think about being tied down to a board with a handful of rat chow to scatter for about 500 of them and a damn pendulum scythe swishing above me.....begging for the scythe to get me before they eat my guts alive....

I like that same scene, but with chipmunks.

Chipmunks are ruthless. They're wreck your entire RV if you anger them.
And if you don't believe us, believe the fact that Donald Duck had a run in with two chipmunks the very day before he went on his Piggly-Wiggly slay spree and was committed for life. In the true crime novel about his life, The Downest Down, the authors posit that a certain rare breed of chipmunk with the psychic power to corrupt minds have been responsible for some of history's saddest tragedies, such as the Hindenburg disaster and the launch of Purdy Curdies, bite size chunks of chocolate covered tofu.

People just don't understand how black hearted these hidden manipulators of mankind can be. Lindbergh baby? Chipmunks were seen whispering into the ear of Charles' mentally addled sister, impersonating a dark god and demanding she deliver the child unto their warrens for a lifetime of slavish tunnel excavatng. They say on a windless night you can still hear ol' Chuck jr. grinding away with his silver spoon just beneath the loam.
