Bryson trades his sling and stones for Annie's club.
"This is perfect. Ah have a spell that does the same thing to a club. That's why ah was looking for one."
Actually, I have Magic Stone as well, but looked right over it.

"Whoowee. Somebodies got some high quality drink close by."
DM-Camris
When you decide to go back to the crab room, listening at the door you hear nothing.
Cautiously opening the door, you peer out to see nothing but the bodies of the undead pirates and numerous crabshell fragments. Bindlplotz's musket still leans against the piller where he left it, apparently untouched. Nothing else moves.
Bryson Deepwinter
Let's move along the northern edge of the room to get to the other side. I believe some undead came from a door or two along this side of the room. We might as well check those out.
DM-Camris
This is after you have rested completely.
Moving around the north side of the room, the first door to the north contains a simple garedrobe; it's smell is unmistakeable. The next door to the north contains a modest storage chamber filled with crates and barrels.
I assume Sneaky will pause to make a search.
Gull Street Annie
"I smell nothing. I think you two are under the effects of magic." Dgrim goes back into the crab-infested room and heads to the closest unopened door.
I think there was a door on the north wall that wasn't open. Dgrim will try that one.
"Wait!" Annie hissed. "Before we go any farther, I received a blessing from Cayden Cailean this morning. Ghirrak and Bryson, you are correct, my first casting of Create Water was blessed with this, the Holy Water of Cayden Cailean."
Annie opened her waterskin and held it out to her companions.
"This water will bless you with greater bravery and an ability to fight. It lets you ignore a small wound, and it acts as Holy Water. While it might be handy to throw at undead, I think it's more useful to drink and fortify ourselves with." She looked around at everyone. "I have six doses here. One of us will have to go without." A pained expression crossed her face. "It smells wonderful, and I'd dearly love a sip, but," she bit her lip, "if you would all like a dose, I can go without." She lifted one finger in warning. "I'll warn you, it does have a chance to make you drunk. Who wants some?"
imbibing a dose acts as Holy water, Virtue (+1 temp HP), and Bless (+1 to hit and Fear saves)[imbiber only]. May become drunk.
Bryson Deepwinter
"Ah couldn't keep you from partaking of your God's holy libation. Ah'll go without. Though thanks for offering."
Spinnaker Jon
"I thank ye lassie, I need all the help I c'n get." He drinks and looks up surprised. "Blow me down! Yer holy water is beer? An' its good too."

Sneaky returns from the storeroom, his pack seems a little heavier somehow. He politely turns down Annies offer as he goes to the west door with the others, listens at it...
He peers at the doorknob, which doesn't appear to be locked. Cautiously tries it, then turns to you and gives the all clear signal.
Spinnaker Jon, who seems pleasantly inebriated, softly sings a sea shanty as he spots the body in the water to the south.
Spinnaker Jon
"Arr, poor bastard. Lemme help ye sailor..." Mutters Spinnaker Jon as he staggers over to the waterline at the south, his light slowly circling his head. He starts singing a spell...
Gull Street Annie
Annie looks around, then hands her skin over to Bryson. "It appears there's another serving left for you to try," she offered with a smile. Suddenly she spotted Jon staggering toward the crab infested waters, and her eyes widened with horror. "No! Jon! What are you doing? The crabs might come out!" She ran over to try to pull him back before he got too close.
I don't know what you want me to do to try to pull him back. Attempt a grapple check?
Bryson Deepwinter
Bryson lights up when Annie gives him the remaining holy water. When she turns to stop Jon, he quickly puts it away for a later time.
Spinnaker Jon
Spinnaker Jon reels around as Annie grabs him and hustles him back to the door.
"Ah Annie!" *hic* "I knew ye loved me lassie! Gimme a kiss!" Jon wobbles as he throws his arms wide and aims a kiss in Annies direction.
Gull Street Annie
Annie led Jon back to the group with a firm but gentle hand, expertly turning her cheek to receive his kiss. "Yes, yes, you should stay with us. We're your friends. Just stay here by me and everything will be fine, okay?" She wiped the sweat off her brow as she approached the group. She could tell her own cheeks were flush with a warm glow from Cayden Cailean's holy "water", she couldn't blame Jon for his reaction. "That was closer than I'd like."
Ravtahl Demontouched
Ravtahl awoke feeling refreshed and more at ease than he'd been in the years since leaving his tribe. There was something about sleeping surrounded by other warm bodies that reminded him of home and even though these few had little of the cruelty and animal ferocity he grew up with, that was not something he especially missed.
He sensed his objective was at an end. If this Spinnaker Jon was an ally of Penkus, there would be no collection of the bounty while he remained with the group, but Ravtahl had an inkling he'd stumbled onto a far more profitable bounty.
Vanthus Vanderboren.
If the bounty for the Vanderboren cad could be comfortably split among so many, even a fraction of that reward would dwarf the finder's fee for Penkus.
The woman, Annie as they called her, offered a taste of blessed water. "Thank you for the kindness. Cayden Caileen is generous indeed to offer blessings even to those outside the flock.". Ravtahl took a sip.

While Annie and Spinnaker John are having a tussle Bindlplotz is carefully gathering his Musket and inspecting it for damage. He then clears the breech and reloads it in case the powder got damp in the cold room.
By chance did you get the KQ this month Camris?
I have it if he needs a look at that firearms article/class. Very cool stuff. I can make those pages available for group viewing at epicwords.com

You see Sneaky disappear around the West door only to reappear moments later motioning you forward.
Beyond is the beginning of a natural cavern, the floor covered in sand.
Other tunnels weave their way from this space into the darkness. The air is cooler here, and you realize how bad the air back in the smugglers rooms had been getting when you breathe in the fresher air here. The sound of rushing water is clearer here, the source still hidden beyond echoing tunnels.

Ok, I'll take the center tunnel and hope for the best. I'll strap my shield onto my back and cast Light onto my shirt.
Ravtahl Demontouched
Sounds like you're all in single file behind Bryson. Approximately what order are you in?
Ravtahl rested the greataxe on his shoulder and followed behind Annie. "Your bravery is not in doubt, woman of Cayden Cailean. Let me walk ahead of you. I am no trembling sorcerer, hiding behind his stronger allies. If blood is to be spilled, I would rather it not be yours."
Bryson Deepwinter
Bryson turns to Ravtahl, "Her blood is not your concern and she walks where she will. You should get to back of the line until we're sure of you and your bravery."

Bryson turns to Ravtahl, "Her blood is not your concern and she walks where she will. You should get to back of the line until we're sure of you and your bravery."
"There is bite in you, woodsman. I see now why you travel without the beasts so common of your kind." Ravtahl scraped the blade of his axe against the longer of his two tusks. With a slight curtsy, he said to Annie. "You are obviously well-protected by this beast on two legs--a compliment, to be sure, Druid, so take no offense--so I will keep company with the small one. Careful not to cut yourself as my axe will venture forth when needed, whether or not my hand is upon it." The half-Orc moved to the back of the group, with Bindlplotz. "As to my bravery, child of the wilds, my skin tells it's own story. Some day yours will, too."
Ghirrak Ironfist
Ghirrak quietly walks in the middle of the group, amusedly observing the interactions between his allies and their new traveling companion.
Bryson's protectiveness towards Annie made him smile.
Fierce that one.Beast on two legs is definitely fitting.
Strangely enough Bryson's action also made him thing of Lavinia, wondering about her safety while they were trapped down here.
He takes a deep breath, calming his nerves and attempting to clear his mind.

"Your bravery is not in doubt, woman of Cayden Cailean," said their new companion. "Let me walk ahead of you. I am no trembling sorcerer, hiding behind his stronger allies. If blood is to be spilled, I would rather it not be yours." Annie opened her mouth to speak and turned her head as the half orc stepped around her, but before she could say anything Bryson's retort rang against the damp stone walls. Annie suddenly wished the torch bright pebble in her hands was dimmer as she felt her cheeks flush during Bryson's and Ravtahl's exchange of words. As Ghirrak walked up next to her she saw his amusement, and somehow that transmuted her confused mortification into anger.
"If any blood is spilled, it better not be any of yours!" she exploded at the group in general, drawing her rapier and glaring at the darkness in the tunnel ahead of Bryson. She whipped it around a few times in the empty air next to her, trying to work off her sudden flash of fury. "Now let's find a way out of this horrible place!"
Spinnaker Jon
"Whoa!" Shouted Spinnaker Jon; ducking as Annie slashed the air around his head. "Gimme a shanz to get clear first."
Jon stumbles a bit backing up a step, still drunk from the holy liquer.
As the party walks further into the echoing tunnels, Jon starts to hum under his breath. Later, feeling the chill from the claustrophobic closeness of the tunnels, he starts singing. It is an old sea shanty; and the song reminds the listeners of the wind and the sun and the rolling waves of the open sea.

A few dozen yards through the winding tunnels later, the sand underfoot turns damp. A few dozen yards after that, Bryson comes to the edge of the water. It's only an inch deep here, but it stretches on into the darkness.
You can hear the water surging up ahead.
And no, there is no dry path around the edges.

"Be careful. Stay back a bit." Bryson continues forward more slowly.
"Ah," Ravtahl said, smiling. "I see that your companions walk where you will, when it suits you. The double-standard is pointed, but I see no reason to impede your heroic death. We shall wait here to honor your lonely sacrifice."
