Erm... The one that's staring off into the distance because she's a space cadet is Sarah Brightman. The one that's staring off into the distance because she's stoned out of her mind is Amy Winehouse.

Well, Amy did a "Beat It" duet with Charlotte Church, so Sarah's gotta do "Up Where We Belong" with Cliff Richard.
I saw that clip and I have to say that I was quite impressed with Amy. It must take a lot of work to mummble so bad that Ozzy seems articulate by comparison.

I would point out though that just maybe the reason those three, of which I am one, were so against the change and all have the full plate imagines could be explainable.
Without going into details the thread was about a change to who could wear heavy armor, and clearly someone who goes out of their way to pick an avatar in heavy armor to represent them might have a liking for heavy armor.

Actually, I didn't know what an American accent sounded like until Tracy Ullman did one on her show. It was funny as hell.

While I often agree with Thurgon, I don't like being mistaken for him. I do resembl... resent being characterized as a conservative, tradition-minded Republican dinosaur just because of my armor.
By the way: "Grognard" is a complement where I come from.

Or maybe because some of us are old school, very conservative, and more then a little vocal about changes we dislike. My first presidential election that I could vote in I did through absentee ballet while attending a religious college in western PA. For the record I voted for Bush, the father.
Good thing too. Because you'll probably find it in the SRD if you look, Paladins can only be run by Republicans because you Democrats aren't moral enough. We're still weighing the matter on Libertarians and Catholics. But all and all Calvinists are preferred in the role. :)

You should play 4e. There, paladins are allowed to have any political affiliation they want, even Pat Buchanan's party.

Well, to be fair, Sarah did lose her heart to a Starship Trooper, so it's only natural she signed up for the cadets....

I didn't mention which religious afflication the school had, but it just so happens to be Presbyterian. So Calvinist to be sure.

I thought that was only true if you played in Florida.

Besides, I still find it funny when someone assumes I'm female.
Otherwise, I always read the name, after seeing Hydro and Hugo in different threads it's kinda become mandatory.
Genderbending avatars always throw me off. I have no way of knowing the gender of a poster, so I tend to use the avatar as a clue.
What's odd is that even after I've been informed that someone with a female avatar is male, or vice versa, I will continue to use the wrong pronouns.
Have a good day, ma'am.
I find it safest to assume all persons online are male, unless proven otherwise.

There is some wisdom to that.

I would change my avatar occasionally but I also came to realize that people sometimes recognize posters by their avatars. I've found I usually look at avatars first and names second, but there's enough doubling up on the avatars that looking at the names is still necessary.
This is not true!!! People would recognize me no matter what Avatar I used!

Just an observation.
It's reached the point where I don't even look at screen names. If it's a guy with a helmet, I automatically expect to read a pro-oldschool/anti-radical-changes point of view.
What's up with that, anyway?
