HOA Made Useless by Deflect Arrows Feat?

Rules Questions

Just saw a thread where it was stated that HOA could easily be
deflected by Deflect Arrow Feat, but in the feat section it was
stated it cannot deflect a spell like effect, is HOA made useless
by this feat, because it is a supernatural ability? Opinions,
please.

It appears that HOA is considered an attack with a thrown weapon in the description, so it is deflectable it seems.

That makes it almost TOTALLY useless, after 3rd or 4th level. The

Univ Wizard keeps getting kicked.

In what context?

If a Univ Wizard is using it with a melee weapon, it can be deflected,

and you only have X number of rounds, you only get Int for hitting,
and Str (a dump stat, normally for Wizards) for damage, if I have a
choice of something that can be deflected, and one that can't be to
use, I will use something that can't be, also, it is a supernatural
effect, which with everyone else, is more powerful than spell like

How many opponents do you expect to face with Deflect Arrows? I'd be more worried that my base attack bonus was still too low to actually hit anything even with my intelligence bonus added. In that case, Deflect arrows is virtually useless.

Also, there are 10 classes other than monk that would have to take improved unarmed strike and deflect arrows with their valuable feat slots. I really don't think you're going to have to worry about this.

OR You can always just cast Magic Missile with your Arcane Bond instead. :p

Quite true, but, if you are out of spells which, at lower levels,

happens quickly what then? In Beta, it was a nice back up, now, it
is has changed.

Scarab Sages

I think you are seriously overestimating the number of people that will take Deflect Arrows. I mean let's be real, most of them will be monks, and most of those monks are followers of Irori, so they'll likely be off sitting in a monastery playing with butterflies.

Deflect Arrows? I wouldn't worry.

Your God of Knowledge,
Nethys

Deflect Arrows. That makes something useless? Wow. Has anyone even seen this feat, ever? I mean out in the wild, not in some book. I don't think I have.

Parsecs away from "absolutely useless".

Irori

That name rings a bell, but why?

Oh, yes! He's the real god of knowledge, not some confused madman. :D (I think that Nethys isn't a god at all - it's all a big hoax by Abraxas, who has been laughing his ass of for aeons about this)

Scarab Sages

We both share the Domain, Paizo just erred in giving him the title.

Let me ask you, what's more useful? Applied Knowledge or Thereotical Knowledge?

Because while Irori is sitting in his temples thinking about everything, I'm out here helping the mortals. Providing magic. Yeah, you know, half the reason people play these games. MAGIC.

-grumble- ungrateful humans -grumble-

Your God of Knowledge,
Nethys

Your applied knowledge is boring.

I prefer Calistria's applied knowledge. :P

And it made him a god without turning him into a basket case...

You're not providing magic. Not any more than other gods. If some crazed god of murder did you in right now, the world wouldn't explode, with millions of people dead, your favourite worshippers going mad, and magic no longer functioning properly (that stuff apparently happens in other worlds).

Plus, you're proving my point: You're the God of Magic. Not Knowledge. :P

Oh, the Chorus of Pandaemonic Tranquility asked me to tell you to turn down the Tube, man. Apparently the voice of one actress in that soap opera you apparently watch all the time has a very grating, annoying voice, and it distracts them from thinking up new ways to obliterate this reality.

Then you start using your 0-level cantrips, that you can use an unlimited number of times per day.

If a wizard runs out of all his other spells, he can still acid splash or ray of frost his enemies until they die.
