Which is better first three star wars movies or the prequels. Oh, right, there was never any argument there. =D

All heroes will be required to have one (or more) of the following:

- Angst ridden backstory
- An idiotic hairstyle
- A weapon that weighs more than they do
- Serious mommy/daddy issues
- A useless companion who has only one goal: be captured by the enemy

Then you want to play Exalted. ;-)

I am sorry, I found many of your post very insightful and I very much enjoyed our discussions…but I must kill you now.

It's probably for the best.

Star Trek is better than Star wars for four reasons:

1) No Ewoks in Star Trek
2) Redshirts are harder to kill than Stormtroopers
3) Nobody kisses their sister on the Enterprise.
4) Captain Kirk would kill Jar Jar Binks.

Wesley Crusher vs. Jar Jar Binks!

FIGHT!

I'm feeling unloved.

Hard question....but I vote for this guy!

Well, Wesley makes the Wil Save. Huh, huh, huh.

Listened to a Wesley Crusher podcast the other day. Dude owes me almost an hour of my life back...well, at least it was playing in the background.

Wesley Crusher Equus africanus asinus raped Star Trek.

It wasn't his fault...go look at his blog, where he painfully tries to therapize himself through his Crusher years.

The actor was passable. I blame the writer and his pet NPC.

Oh? Star Wars.

Star Trek has made hundreds of millions of dollars for Paramount.

Star Wars has made BILLIONS for Lucis Arts.

Spoiler:
Both prove that a creator can become dangerous to his own creation.

Can you blame him?

After Will Wheaton suffered through portraying the blatent "Mary Sue", then he has to deal with the Fan Outrage (... and it doesn't help that he agrees with most of the fans on this issue.)

I prefer to slaughter a dead horse then beat a sacred cow, then eat them both!

What? All that beating and slaughtering makes me hungry.

No, I don't blame him. Actually, I've enjoyed reading his blog from time-to-time: he seems like a swell guy. But those podcasts over on Wotci's website, which draw you in with their Penny Arcade comic shorts, are of the devil and made me want to stab ice picks in my ears.

Potentially.

I think my point was more that the amount of money something makes isn't necessarily an indicator of how good it is. For example, I think Firefly is far superior to both Star Trek and Star Wars, yet it will never bring in the kinds of numbers that either of these two franchises have.

And by the way, if Shania Twain's, Brittany Spears', or Cher's concerts gross more money than Madonna's, then that only serves to strengthen my point. :)

I think Sade has the most beautiful voice. I am not sure exactly how we would measure talent. Pitch range or genre range?

One must give Madonna credit for being a good entertainer.

If there are any dead horses or slaughtered sacred cows lying about, I'll buy them. My franchise is ramping up for our Holy Trinity Combo Meal™ promotion*

*That's a Big Daddy Burger™, Junior Fries™ and Spook Shake™ all for just 5.99!

I just heard on the news that a town in Florida is going to pass a law requiring all city employees to use deodorant and wear underwear. And they have to wear the underwear under their clothing! What happened to freedom and individual choice? I'm outraged! ;)

But they didn't say anything about how to use the deodarant, now did they?

Years ago, I worked with a woman who didn't bathe or wear deodorant. She was so funky, on one particular day, that everyone in the department was literally gagging. The manager had to send her home with instructions to shower and put-on deodorant before coming to work.

I'm so glad I don't work there anymore!

I had a guy in my fraternity who didn't believe in using deodorant. I never could understand that.

I kinda preferred Liv Tyler to Glorfindel, actually.

But don't even get me started on those elves that showed up to Helm's Deep! What's Peter Jackson got against dwarves anyway? Speciest!
