Star Trek is better than Star wars for four reasons:
1) No Ewoks in Star Trek
2) Redshirts are harder to kill than Stormtroopers
3) Nobody kisses their sister on the Enterprise.
4) Captain Kirk would kill Jar Jar Binks.

Listened to a Wesley Crusher podcast the other day. Dude owes me almost an hour of my life back...well, at least it was playing in the background.

It wasn't his fault...go look at his blog, where he painfully tries to therapize himself through his Crusher years.
The actor was passable. I blame the writer and his pet NPC.

Star Wars has made BILLIONS for Lucis Arts.

No, I don't blame him. Actually, I've enjoyed reading his blog from time-to-time: he seems like a swell guy. But those podcasts over on Wotci's website, which draw you in with their Penny Arcade comic shorts, are of the devil and made me want to stab ice picks in my ears.
There is only one class for heroes and that class is PIE!! and all villians have the npc class cake.

I think my point was more that the amount of money something makes isn't necessarily an indicator of how good it is. For example, I think Firefly is far superior to both Star Trek and Star Wars, yet it will never bring in the kinds of numbers that either of these two franchises have.
And by the way, if Shania Twain's, Brittany Spears', or Cher's concerts gross more money than Madonna's, then that only serves to strengthen my point. :)
I think Sade has the most beautiful voice. I am not sure exactly how we would measure talent. Pitch range or genre range?

I just heard on the news that a town in Florida is going to pass a law requiring all city employees to use deodorant and wear underwear. And they have to wear the underwear under their clothing! What happened to freedom and individual choice? I'm outraged! ;)
Years ago, I worked with a woman who didn't bathe or wear deodorant. She was so funky, on one particular day, that everyone in the department was literally gagging. The manager had to send her home with instructions to shower and put-on deodorant before coming to work.
I'm so glad I don't work there anymore!
