I rolled a random encounter with a Gynosphinx ( 85-86 desert, 89 mountains) a few weeks ago. The party managed to surprise it, it was not going well for her. Well the party made one too many rude comments about my monster being a wimp.
From many years a playing ICE Rolemaster when the main Giant boss encounter went down to a critical hit………….. he called out “My Brother” the GM brought out his twin brother.
As a twist I used a Jann. The sphinx and jann got away. 3 encounters later they and the party are on speaking terms, they brought the sphinx a new riddle, and have been purchasing potions from the jann. Both gynosphinx and jann want to see the gnolls removed from “their” mountains.
Siti Nebibit and Akhom ibin Jahiji cave home is only accessible by flying or an arduous climb ( 6 DC 30 climb checks in a row). With use of Arcane marks and symbols along with traps to make an intruders life miserable and short. Akhom ibin Jahiji has an alchemical lab with glassblowing equipment where he makes his potions and does research. I was thinking on tying in Pesh with his alchemical studies……
