I think it was actually meant as trollish satire about the way absurd stories get thrown around on the internet, but naturally that sort of thing is going to spiral out of control very quickly. And, of course, any internet search for that absurd internet rumor will start generating Paizo hits, which is not the kind of attention Paizo wants.

Oh sure they do. As you say both sides have their share of asshats. The problem I've been seeing is that folks of a liberal bent have been crying foul a lot lately about the 'dangerous' tone of conservatives, and then someone decides to troll up a story like this.
And yeah, I am against moderation, as I think we do a great job of this on our own, something like this will get hits and I'm sure Paizo doesn't need that kind of attention.
Once again folks have to read everything with a grain of salt. I wonder if this particular meme will evolve into 'truthiness' like the Palin "I can see Russia from my house!' quip she is credited with saying.

Banana bread fresh out of the oven is quite nice too

You know what are really great? Chocolate Scotcheroos.
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 6 cups rice krispies or cocoa krispies
- 1 package semi-sweet chocolate morsels
- 1 cup butterscotch chips
Melt chocolate and butterscotch chips together in a 1 quart saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly. Spread evenly over the rice krispie mixture and allow to cool until firm. Cut in 2 inch X 1 inch bars and serve when cool.
