Oooohhhh...big weekend coming up. I'm not sure how I'll manage all those picnics and BBQs. So much to do....

I would help, but...

I'd just be left out to wilt in the sun.

Well, it's going to take some effort to get through this weekend, but after that, things'll slow down considerably.

Thanks to the wonders of greenhouses and refrigerated trucks, I'm always in season!

It isn't so much a matter of me being in or out of season, but that up North, folks tend to cut down on the outdoors stuff during the winter.

I'm the best Slaad ever.

Dinner Rolls. Dinner Rolls, Don't forget the Dinner Rolls this Labor Day Weekend.

BLASPHEMY AND LIES!!! EVERY SLAAD KNOWS THAT CHEF'S SLAAD IS THE FIRST AND GREATEST OF US!

We are but humble soldiers of Chaos, following in his foosteps.

I just want everyone to know that the bug cult is open for memebership, but you need to be a bug avatar, or need a bug name to join.

Come one come all to the hive.

I cause all sorts of gastrointestinal chaos when left out in the sun ...

I'm speaking metaphorically, of course. Just because we're slaads doesn't mean we can't be philosophical on occasion.

We can be philosophical... Or not... Because we are chaotic.

I like it.

Exactly!

If a tree is falling in the forest, and no one is around to clap with one hand, does a poodle still show up to pee on a Jack?

The answer is yes.

No no, it should be:

"Double double, toil and troubles
Bad heart burn and stomach bubbles"

Yes, I was left out in the sun for too long this last weekend ...

Whew! For a second there, I thought you might be talking about some weird fiendish plant creature. It's hard to keep track of some of the stuff that comes out of the lower planes.

So we torment him, then give him a reward?

Sounds Chaotic. I like it.

Then we torment him some more. Then we put him in... the Comfy Chair! Then we smack him soundly with a large fish, teach him a couple silly walks, spray poodle pheromones all over him, and drop him into the Poodle Lords thread.

Umm, maybe not chaotic enough.

Yrthak!

So I actually have a serious question... if you were going to re-design an OGL version of a slaad, what changes would you make? Anything... stats, abilities, background, divergent evolutionary offshoots, method of egg implantation, random mutations... anything.

Aren't proteans the new slaadi? I like them, but they definitely need the addition of an egg implantation ability to really, truly, bring out the flavor.

Do proteans complete a picnic? Have you ever had a protean as a BBQ side-dish? They are nothing like the new slaad. Nothind I tell you.

Rutabaga penstock castanets fuselage.

Doesn't the meat in BBQ contain protean?
