Scarab Sages

I haven't seen the movie either.

Still, old Kirk would have . . . to be cannier and know . . . a few more tricks.

Edit: That my online Shatner imitation.

Have you seen william Shatner lately I'm pretty sure Chris Pine could beat the living crap out of Will without much problem.

I think Old Kirk must fairly refer to the Kirk of the movies and tv show. It's not really fair to compare an aging actor with a younger actor, expecially as the kirk character died before reaching such an age.

Or of course, I could be overthinking a rather silly question. :P

Kirk Douglas would have enslaved either of them in a fist fight. That's all I'm sayin'.

Sight unseen, I think I can vote on this.

Old Kirk would just shoot the new kirk.

Old Kirk-back-in-the-day, would out-smart the new kirk because the old-kirk-back-in-the-day was seen when he started his first commission of the Starship, Enterprise on its 5 year mission. Indeed, he would pat himself on the back for his own ingenuity. If the new kirk is in a prequel, then that places him as younger and slightly less experienced. So, in both cases - - - I vote the following:

Old Kirk whuups New Kirk 3 out of 5 times.

How do I know?

*Logic, dear captain, logic.*

LOL.

Seriously though. Douglas could throw down in RL. He wasn't one of those "Not the face!" type guys. ;)

I'd be scared that I'd end up with this dimple shaped scar from his chin butt to my forehead.

He actually received that cleft mark by banging into the razor sharp fangs of then prenatal Chuck Norris (that was one tough baby). Don't ask me for certain details as to how that in utero imbroglio went down; I only know the rumors... that Mr. Douglas woke up one morning in a Ryan, Oklahoma alleyway with a sore head, a spent bottle of rye, and a nicked chin. The glaze on his mug strongly suggested a lady of low cunning may have taken advantage of his face some time during the night, but that was before CSI and fetish-trained bloodhound breeding.

They wrote a book about it.

Or did I just dream that?

I suspect that if they did meet this contest would involve several bars, trying to pull any attractive woman within sight and eventually a fight with their respective partners and anybody else!

Of course whilst young kirk was doing this old kirk would be just watching after all why would he bother picking a fight when he could let his younger self fight everybody else?

Do not read in case you want to watch the movie:

Spoiler:
When original Kirk did his Kobyashi Maru he reprogrammed the simulator so that when he declared he was captain Kirk the klingons fought each other for the right to fight him... and then he beat the surviving klingon bird of prey, admittedly I did enjoy younger Kirk's variation of this especially as he was really trying to annoy those behind the exercise!

There are many different battlefields, and even more ways to measure victory ...

William Shatner's James T. Kirk created a cultural legacy lasting over 40 years. How long will Chris Pine's James Kirk last?

We will not know for some time.

Janeway. Hands down.

The manliest of them all.

After her first year Mulgrew adopted this headshakin' swagger that put me off every time. Ladies with masculine traits are absolutely fine by me, I just thought it was dodgy execution - a bad 'goto' blocking that made her come off as bit... Popeyesque.

When she walked out of a room with her head bobbing confidently I'd sing, "I'm strong to the finich cuz I eats me spinach..."

Actually, that was young Kirk. ;)

Old Kirk would beat young Kirk, because old Kirk knows all of young Kirk's moves but young Kirk doesn't know all of old Kirk's moves.

Yes, but Young Kirk can still do all the moves Old Kirk knows. ;-)
