Just curious if you are any closer on deciding if you are going to offer a RPG subscription? If you do, I will subcribe as I suspect quite a few other will also. Even if it is only one or two books a year it will be a worthwhile subscription for me as I intend to purchase all of the RPG series.
Thanks,
Doug

We are planing to offer one. We're just waiting until we nail down a few more details and can announce the first few books that will follow the Bestiary, because we think you should know what you're getting into before you make a commitment!

PS if I subscribe will I be a super-duper charter subscriber?

This is very near the top of my "to do" list.
It's just that there's one thing that's higher: Ship the book to the printer.
That is imminent. By this time next week it will be at the printer.
Shortly thereafter, definitely this month, we will have some additional announcements and all will be made clear.

Do details even matter anymore? Or do we all just want to press the shiny silver button?
That's the great thing about human nature (and even more so with gamers). Paizo could probably sell double the number of subscriptions if they changed the "Add To Cart" button to the "Whatever you do, don't push this button" button.

~screams~ But I HAVE to press the button! It is there and it must be pressed! ~quickly reads the warning~ "Danger! Pushing this button will lead to the end of the world as you know it! So Don't push the button!" ~Pushes the button~

Damn!
Do you want to kill me?
Space Madness makes up 80 percent of my brain waves. Or, should I say, our brain waves. Grammar really has to catch up to multiple personality situations.
Small price to pay to have your mind encompass the verse, but still, I couldn't live without it.
Anyway, I understand there's a shiny button?

Will those of us, who in unthinking enthusiasm, pre-ordered the books be able to cancel or convert those pre-orders to a subscription?
No worries—if you preorder and then subscribe, the first copy that you preordered will be treated as your subscription copy. (So if you preordered 3 copies, subscriber benefits would apply to one of them, and the other two would be treated as regular preorders.)
On the other hand, if you were to subscribe and *then* preorder 3 copies, you'd get four copies.

Whew! That is good to know. Especially since I pre-ordered early. However, for us people that preordered, can we get a few of these items signed?
So when do we hear the details of the new subscription?

Soon! I can't be any more specific than that.
As for signatures, these books actually couldn't arrive at a worse time. Not only will we be busy with our usual product schedule, but we'll also be readying for Gen Con and for moving our office. Asking Jason to sign a few thousand books would probably flip that little switch in his head again, and you don't want to flip that switch.

Hmmm ... you could take a page from Phil Foglio and do bookplates :) A little bit of black and white art and sigs on the plate, that can then be slipped into the book for pasting by the recipient :)
That would allow you to get the sigs ahead of time and then the interns (read "grunts" <G>) can slip 'em into the books as they go to packing!

LOL,
What if, like me, you have pre-ordered both? In that case, can we pick which one is counted as the subscriber copy? I would like two of the main books, but not two of the beastiaries (sp?).Vic Wertz Chief Technical Officer |

To be clear, one copy of each book you've preordered will count as your subscriber copy. So if you want two copies of the RPG and one copy of the Bestiary, go ahead and preorder two copies of the RPG and one copy of the Bestiary. Then, so long as you subscribe before they ship, the Bestiary and one copy of the RPG will be counted as your subscriber copies.
Alternatively, you could wait to subscribe first, and then just order another copy of the RPG—it'll work out exactly the same.

Ah! Ok, good stuff. As you can tell, my Newbie outfit is still all shiny and has all it's factory creases. :)
Works well for me, as soon as you guys have the subscription set up, I'll subscribe and then order a second main book. Give you an incentive to hurry up with the subscription setup, another guaranteed sale. :)
