Thanks for starting this up and letting me join. I've been keen to get into a runelords game since it came out, just never got the chance till now.

Jarred, do you mind if I spend some of the inital 700 gp on the following

- Scrolls that I scribed
- More spells for my spell book
- Potions
- An everburning torch
- A half charged wand of 1st level spells

Not sure I'm going to buy all of those but I really wanted to check with you first before getting any of them.

I'm geared up but have only spent 137gp. My real preference would be to buy more spells for my book and get some scrolls scribed.

Will post Armelio in this thread for you after this post so you can check him out.

(Alias of Wrath).

Armelio moves through the streets of Town with his head down. He seems to be muttereing to himself, and occasionally his hands move in some complex gesture as if he's trying to practice some intricate hand signal.

Due to his lack of attention to the overall world around him, he's completely unaware of Maggie Sparshot until he runs into her. He looks up, slightly annoyed until he sees the pretty face frowning at him.

"Errr, hiya Maggie" he stammers, his voice breaking on her name. "Didn't see you there." He's suddenly aware of a looming presence standing next to the girl. Looking across...and then up, the young scholar whinces a little at the overly large form of the sailor standing holding the girls hand. The big man gave him a shove, and stated bluntly "Watch where you're going boy, you'll hurt someone if you're not careful"

As the two of them walked off, ignoring him completely he called "Umm, sorry again. Bye Maggie!!" again his voice cracked on the name.

The little pouch attatched to his belt suddenly squirmed and a furry little head poked out. Two inquisitve, and disturbingly intelligent eyes scanned the back of the sailor as he walked away and a low growling noise escaped from the little weazel.
"No Ezrett," Armelio says placatingly, scrathing the rodents head as he speaks "I don't think putting an acid dart into his groin would be a good idea. Funny perhaps! But not very nice"

Again he turns down the road, walking along and practicing his latest incantation.

Just a brief overview of a typical moment in Armelio's life in town. Those interested feel free to peruse his stats and background. Please let me kow if I've made any mistakes. Cheers

Perfect, and yes, you can buy those. You can probably buy a small farm outside sand point (with a cool secret basement or something) with the rest of your money if you want.

Ok spent the extra cash for Armelio. Got 3 additional spells for his book, and he scribed three scrolls for himself. Oh and he bought a potion of cure light (just in case)

Here is Broduk, coming in from outside of Sandpoint, so he doesn't know much about anything in this small town :P.

Pretty standard for a dwarf, what is odd is that instead of wielding an axe, which is tpical for his race, he instaed has a finely crafted earthbreaker strapped to his back.

Alright, before we start, I need everyone to post in character and say "ready" on this board. I'm making the game post right now, I'll put the instructions on how you guys meet right after my first post, shouldn't be more than an hour from now.

There are about 8 of you, if I notice that one of you is holding up the posts (like in the middle of a fight) for 2 days I will roll on invisible castle for you.

I actually set it as an arbitrary date, so that you guys would have a sense of urgency. However, since all we are doing in the PBP (for now) is intros, it doesn't really matter yet. I give it a few more days before everyone is ready.

The main traits are a free download from Paizo. At the top of your Paizo page there is a link that says "My Downloads". If you follow that you'll find more links to the free stuff they've made available to people. There'll be the Beta file, runelords and curse of the crimson throne player guides, some stuff on prestige classes and should also be on for player traits.

^^ I didn't know there was a another thread for this game.

Two Question.

First, I would like to arcan bond with the Varisian Idol. Normally I have to bound to a master work item, yes I have MW Scimitar I could bond to. But I would liker to bond to the Idol because of flavour. So no harm for the game rules, the mw cost is paid, and I only bought the Idol yet because of this. Is it all right for the DM?

Second I saw that Armelio has eight skill points spend instead of seven. I think is because Mathematical Prdegy Trait so he thought or knows he get a trained point for free. But I had understand you only get an bonus +1(and one of the skills as Classskill) not a trained skill point for this sort of traits. Is important for me because I have the Fast Talk trait that is similar and still miss one point to train swimming, even if it don't would do any got with my strength. If I would get the trained point in bluff for free I could take this skill.

Hiya Max,

Armelio has only seven skills where he gets the bonus +3 for being a class skill. The knowledge (engineering) comes from the mathematical prodegy trait, but it ony has the trait bonus and my intelligence modifier added to it. I didn't add the class bonus because I didn't put ranks into it. As far as I know that was allowed.

However I'm happy to ammend the skills if needed. Thanks for picking it up.
