Barbarians of Lemuria?

I've noticed that this inexpensive ($10.00) core rule book has sat perched high atop RPGNow.com's best selling indie games for months. I purchased my .pdf copy there early this year, and have LOVED the game. The character generation system is intuitive and focuses strongly on players' abilities to interact with their "Sword & Sorcery" world. Has anyone else tried the game, or be willing to comment? I would like to try a play-by-post if others are interested...I feel THAT comfortable adjudicating the rules after only a few months!

Thanks in advance!

I would need to buy it but I have heard lots of good things about it. I'd be interested.

You might not need to buy it. There's a set of rules on the web at 1km1kt which has most of the rules in it.

And it looks a terrific game. I'd probably be interested in a PbP too.

Excellent! For the person willing to hunt for it, there are 1st edition Barbarians rules for free. I suggest investing in a small gaming company (with whom I'm not affiliated), and getting the core rules, monsters, magic, etc. Let's try for something by the end of the week, at least to see if others might rally, too.

Well, we haven't gotten much response to this point, but I'm curious to play the game online. The Yahoo! groups have been pretty quicky amassing a small army of followers. I'm thinking of doing something smaller in scope, maybe a PbP that would last two weeks or so, if everyone posted something at least very day. Thoughts?

I would be interested - what you need to do is put up a thread in the Gamer Connection area on here. It would get more attention that way.

Arise is my service!

Having recently watched a great review of the 2017 release of this game.

Has anyone played this?

If so,
- How is it?
- How is the setting?
- Are they any other scenarios or other support?

Since it was based (loosely) on the Thongor books, I got the PDF, then was lucky enough to find a remaindered hard copy of a later edition. System seems simple enough, and I'm very taken with the setting and artwork.

But like me, you haven't gotten to actually use it? :(
