And so sure she is of being correct about Dylan that she posts next entry of the translation game, one that does horrible things to punctuation and syntax:

"Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgiastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that's no matter--tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther.... And one fine morning-- So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."
- F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby, Ch. 9
Since this followed a bit of translation, I wanted to throw out the same passage translated via BabelFish from English, to Spanish, to Italian, to Greek, to French, to German, and then back into English:
"Gatsby [etheorise] in the green light, at l' orgiásticozukunft the l' ? l' Year all' ? the l' support; Year approximately down before us. After this, we that' avoided, only; ? s under it l' Absence to be bent we faster to function tomorrow, this all' extended; ? Exterior at our payment, which is with distance…. And the penalty clause the morning l' grasses interrupted; ? the burn so, Barke against these activated, left acceptable rear part continuously past." ?Smurfy!

Ooh! Ooh! Here's one that's even mildly gamer-related:
"That the cured Smurf not science and c'; the philosophy for examines is necessary an error was. These things are necessary the cold and impersonal investigator, qu'; parce it leaves? they offer to two also solutions tragic alternatives to them to l'; part lowland? Person of the feeling and d'; Action? s' desespérese? it loses in its surveying and the terror unausdrückbaren and s' inconceivable? it has of the happened one."
Hints: English to Spanish to Italian to German to French to Greek to English. A famous author familiar to many gamers, especially fans of pulp era horror.

I wanted to wait to make sure I guessed right....but I just couldn't! Bonus points if you get mine and Allen's together :)
Has the moment come, morse has shown, in l'? maintainance of many things: Shoes and boats and the [kiromatos] sealing of cabbages and kings and because the sea is boiling hot ébullition and if the pigs have feathers.
Like Allen's post, this author should be familiar to many gamers.

Lewis Carrol, the Walrus and the Carpenter. "The time has come, the walrus said, to speak of many things. Of ships and shoes and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings. Of why the sea is boiling hot and whether pigs have wings."
I assume the other is Lovecraftian, but I'm not familiar enough to be more specific.

SEA, not SEE!
Edit:
Ah, you correct fast.
And wasn't there a song by one of the Beatles, 'I am the Walrus'...?

Correct. That "get up, get on up" have transformed really weirdly...
Translations to languages with very different syntax, like Chinese or Japanese (or Finnish) tends to mess them up seriously, English-French-English is pretty easy. Depends on text too of course...I tried couple of other song lyrics, and while "Respect" and "Dancing Queen" stayed rather close to the original (despite the latter somehow turning into "Dancing King"), "I Say a Little Prayer" became completely unrecognizable.
