Hmm... So they each gain V's soul for an amount equal to how long he keeps up the Soul Splice. So I'm still wondering is this what leads to V saying the "fours words", or still something else.

Perhaps y'all remembered this already, but I was going back online through some old OOTS strips and happened upon this one, wherein we see three familiar faces from the current strips.
Well, maybe not faces, but robes, beshadowed cowls, and 3 sets of colored eyes. Could be coincidence, I suppose. Or not...
I did remember seeing those cowled figures from somewhere, but I couldn't remember which segment of the comic they were first in. Thanks for posting that! So Sabine is in on whatever fiendish conspiracy is going on here... and without Nale's knowledge.

I land on "Sinking Suspicion" space and draw a card. Hmm: "The soul splice is much easier to maintain than the fiends imply, and perhaps even impossible to terminate." Assuming V lives an elf-long life --in the company of three really unpleasant souls sharing her consciousness-- that's a long sentence.
For some reason I get the feeling there is going to be a whole switch thing that is going to happen. That V is going to agree, only to find out the three cloaked guys are actually good guys fooling everyone.
