"Yes, I can see where that might be a problem. I don't think that they'll attack you while you're with us. But if you'd rather stay up there, I'll just tell Kaelar where you are. He was looking for you."
He thinks it over for a moment, then climbs down.
"I'd rather come down of my own free will then be carried around in a block of ice."
He doesn't look her in the eyes, instead opting to look somewhere else.

She walks with him making sure to keep herself between him and any animals that appear hostile.
"Looks like I found him," she said as they walked up to the others.

CH tenses as they walk up, but E7 seems to accept his presence here.
"That is good. Especially with the Servants running around, trying to 'help'."
As Aidan enters the center of the Grove he feels a sense of calm. It is his choice if he chooses to embrace it.
The Bard |
Mist spreads from Kaelar's outstretched hands, flowing outward until it completely encircles the immediate area.
"The Servants will have a hard time finding us here, the mists of confusion will alter their sense of direction. They'll just end up close to were they started. I'll now if any try using magic to navigate it though, and will take care of them." He twirls his staff for emphasis.

E7 chuckles, "It is nice everywhere. You need only to notice it."
"But yes, it is especially nice here where all paths connect."
Aidan does not even take his eyes of the World Tree.
"Where all the paths meet?"He turns toward E7, his eyes wide. He points at Yggdrasil
"Do you mean that's...?"

"Yes, the Tree of Life, The One Tree, Yggdrasil. From her all life flows. She touches all, and everything touches her. Is she not beautiful?"

"Yes"
"For those that learn her song, and if she blesses you in return."
"Even her roots touch other worlds. She is vast."

"Guess I won't be able to find that river after all."
"The river Lethe."

After about the sixth or seventh time she sang away the fire damage she started to feel very tired and drained. She leaned on one of the healthy trees for a minute.
"Okay, so I guess I don't have limitless reserves anymore," she thought to herself, absently pushing her hair back from her face. "Probably good to keep in mind." She wandered over to where Arielle was sitting by the base of Yggdrasil.
"Mind if I join you, sweetie?" Arielle shook her head, and LJ sat down next to her leaning against the bark of the World Ash, letting the Song of the One Tree soothe her. Arielle leaned her head on LJ's shoulder and LJ smiled and put an arm around her.

"Why would you seek to forget all? The Dark Fire would not warrant such extremes. And though your past has much pain in it, there is also some good. You lose both."

"I'll lose more bad memories than I loose good ones. I'll forget grief, sorrow, hatred, lose, loneliness, fear. In exchange for peace I lose happiness. I understand that. After I drink it's waters, I at least hoped you would have me work on setting the forest right. New memories to regain the old. I've seen the way others are around me now, and the animals do not lie when they growl and attack. I know all that."
Lethe has a sister river, one that restores memory. Shhh!

"We'll see."
He walks over to the Yggdrasil's base, curls up between two large roots, and begins to slowly open up himself to the World Tree.
Don't know how to handle that part at all.

Your call. Are u looking to 'become part of the cosmos', traveling to destinations? Or looking to be rebuffed? Feeling dwarfed by the vastness of life, or finding your place within it? Hitting the 'reset' button of your life? Many possibilities.

Thinking about some sort of fight between Aidan and Dark Fire Aidan. Yggdrasil might be able to help. Or start seperating the memories and removing those that aren't his when he sleeps again. So many choices and I can only think of a few... Oh well, I'm sure I'll think of something.

Yggdrasil's spirit flinches at the scent of fire upon the boy's spirit, but as fire is used in the creation of so many worlds the hesitation is fleeting. Small in proportion, this new world will be at one with the boy's body. Once the process is begun she lets the new world, the new spirit, fly amongst the others. Perhaps it will graft itself to another?

Curling up next to Yggdrasil, Aidan suddenly feels very tired as he lets his mind wander. He drifts off to sleep...
To Dreamland!

Night has fallen by the time Aidan stands up and looks around at those gathered in the Grove.
"I've made my choice."
His eyes blaze a vile blue, smoke billows around him as his body erupts in fire, and the armor returns. Two bright spheres of fire fly around the Grove, and land in his outstretched hands, the starknives have returned.
"The Aidan you know is no longer here."

The leader glares at him. "We aren't interested in what you would 'like'. We will remain here until you can give us proof that the one they call Aidan is still sane."

Ch'ack Hammer dons his death mask, and his body transforms to that of a Jack. He pulls out his hammer, considers it, then places it back on his belt. He draws the spirit blade, taking up position near LJ and Arielle.

"We aren't interested in what you would 'like'. We will remain here until you can give us proof that the one they call Aidan is still sane."
The face in the mist shifts, becoming slightly more feral in appearance.
"I highly doubt the ability others believe they have in judging another's sanity. Whether he is sane or not will be determined by those who know him best, not his enemies."
Ch'ack Hammer |
"How can we help Aidan's spirit then?"
Her body began to glow, transforming into pure light as she kept herself between Arielle and danger.
Staring in disbelief at the world they now find themselves in, CH is dismayed by the total lack of life. His gaze sweeps over the Bard, LJ, Arielle, and E7.
"It's so empty. We are the first souls to lay our feet upon it. Why did she send us all here?" he looks pointedly at Arielle
"We must separate the souls. But it might kill Aidan in the process."
not sure if I'm throwing too many curve balls at you. ignore as you need to.

Above Aidan's body, two figures take shape. One is Aidan, the other looks like humanoid fire. The Fire lashes out, but Aidan dodges and slams his fist into it's 'back'.
"You.. gave.. up. Get out of this body!"
"I didn't give up, I tricked you. Fire needs fuel to stay lit, and I took all the fuel away...."
