Winter War 2009 Wrap Up

Local Play

1/5

I just want to thank everyone that came to Winter War this year in Champaign, Illinois. We had a great time, and I got to see a lot of new faces. A few had played a few times before, and some had never played a Pathfinder Society game at all.

We scheduled six session at Winter War, but I only go to run five of the six, since the mid day slot on Saturday had four players signed up, but only two actually showed up for the session. It was a bit of a disappointment, since I had to cancel the session, and one of those players had come all of the way from Michigan, but unfortunately there wasn't much we could do.

Of the six sessions I ran, they broke down like this:

Friday Night, The Third Riddle: 5/6 players

Saturday Morning, Stay of Execution: 6/6 players

Saturday Afternoon, The Third Riddle: Cancelled

Saturday Evening, The Prince of Augustana: 6/6 players

Sunday Morning, Stay of Execution: 4/6 players

Sunday Afternoon, The Many Fortunes of Grandmaster Torch: 6/6 players

Stay of Execution and The Prince of Augustana were probably the most popular adventures, and in addition to picking up some people that had never played before, I did hear some interest from a few players about running Pathfinder Society games back in their regular "home territories."

At any rate, I'd like to thank everyone that showed up to play, as we had a great time, and everyone at the Winter War staff, who put on a great convention, and of course, my FLGS that let me run this on a monthly basis and happened to be at the show as one of the dealers, Armored Gopher Games.
