Sneak attacking undead

Classes: Bard, Monk, and Rogue

I like the fact that rogues are now being able to sneak attack undead. Everyone knows that you have to aim for the head to kill a zombie, so why not a trained rogue?

The only point where this rule gives me headaches is when it is applied to skeletons.

Here are some late-night, bizarre thoughts :
1) What can be the "weak point" of a necro-animated skeleton? The bones aren't bound together by tendons but by magic energy, so if you target, say, a vertebra to disrupt the spine, well the other vertebrae are gonna hold in place because of the magic (or skeletons would be very unstable).
2) Rogues are usually fighting with piercing or slashing weapons, and these are highly uneffective against those monsters. Even more while trying to dislodge or destroy a bone.

But in this case, how do you damage a skeleton? Bashing all the bones with a warhammer until only dust remains? I think it would be interesting to come up with an explaination.

Or maybe I'm taking this too far away... It's just fantasy in the end.
