I submitted my entry for round 2, but I did not receive a confirmation screen. Would one of the judges please confirm that my entry was received?

Do you not see a box saying something like "you have already submitted" on the main page?
If you sign out and sign back in, do you see it?
No, the "click here to submit" box is still there. I tried signing out and then back in again, and it's still there.
I take it I'm the first to submit?

I log out, log back in, and click on the submit, then click on I agree, then I get a page to enter my entry.
hm, I guess I'm not first.
Paul Worthen wrote: hm, I guess I'm not first. no, but misery love company apparently.
Matthew, I have your entry (as well as a few others).
Gary has gone home sick, but I'll have him look at the issue tomorrow. Let me know if it happens to fix itself over the next hour or so, though....
Is there supposed to be a confirmation page? If not, it would sure be nice if there was :-)

Thank the Divine! I'd rather fail on my own merits, than let the internet help.
Paul Worthen wrote: Is there supposed to be a confirmation page? If not, it would sure be nice if there was :-) I believe Gary's intent was that you return to the entry page, but with the "you have already submitted" text where the "submit your entry" text was.

I just submitted mine, and I get the same thing. For now, I'm going to assume it went through, but please notify me if you don' have my entry.
Poor Gary: He's got whack-a-mole software bugs, plus a real bug. That adds up to one lousy day. Get better soon!
Asking for confirmation on receipt of my entry for this round - I seem to be having the same/similar problem with no confirmation screen or message, and if I won't have time to submit during business hours tomorrow.
Please advise, and thank you for your time.

Yep—we got yours... twice. I've nuked the second one.
Vic,
Can you confirm mine was received? It seemed to go, but I didn't get a confirmation screen. Thanks!

Got it.
Vic, same story here -- please confirm Eagle has Landed?
Thanks,
Speck
Could I get a confirmation as well? Thanks.
Same here Vic. Could I get confirmation?
Just made two attempts at submitting, and could also use a confirmation post at your earliest convenience.
Confirm Alt # 5's submission?
Done. Whew! (Wipes brow.)
Vic, can you confirm you received it?
Thanks,
Doyle
By Grabthar's Hammer! I am done!
Add me to the list of people requesting - nay, begging - for confirmation of my submission.
:D
I'll add myself to the line of would-be superstars eager for some confirmation of their villain entry.
Same here with the submitting and non-confirmation.
Submitted twice just to be safe. Hopefully one got through.
K. B. Carter wrote: Submitted twice just to be safe. Hopefully one got through. Same here. After I hit Submit it took me back to Paizo's Homepage (not the RPG Superstar Homepage), which is usually what happens when the Postmonster eats my regular posts. In addition I still have the "Click here to submit your entry button" when I do go back to the RPG Superstar page.
I tried twice just in case and both attempts yielded the same result, so can I please get confirmation as well.
Actually that probably won't help me much... the deadline is in 4 hours (9am) and I will be fast asleep, as I stayed up 'til 5am making last minute alterations and agonizing over my choices.
Good Luck Everyone! =D

Craig, That's why I finally said 'Frak it!' and hit submit.
I've got a similar problem as Craig. No reply, and despite me wishing otherwise, I just can't hold my breath for confirmations, I've got a full evening planned.
I'd try submitting again - but i can't. I might not be submitting an identical villain. I've got both a local copy, and one on my laptop. I hope the two version are identical. I've submitted the "laptop version", the one i edited at work, and later committed - but I am not sure I didn't change a character or two, and don't want to kill my chances on a technical problem
Paul Worthen wrote: I submitted my entry for round 2, but I did not receive a confirmation screen. Would one of the judges please confirm that my entry was received? Same problem here. I sent you a copy over the mail, but it's right in front of the deadline and I seem to be unable to submit.
So far we have entries from:
bitplayr
Carl Flaherty
Carl Klutzke
Craig Johnston
Doyle Tavener
Elizabeth Leib
Eric Morton
Gerald Andrews
Kevin Carter
Kurald Galain
Lucas Jung
Matt Banach
Matthew Morris
Mike Speck
Murkmoldiev
Paul Worthen
Philip Snyder
Randy Dorman
Stefan Schulz
Steve Clarkson
Trevor Gulliver
(Alternates are listed by messageboards avatar name rather than real name.)
And Neil Spicer just submitted.
Could you verify I'm now added to that list? I submitted twice, because the first time it seemed like it just kicked me out to the site's main page and I thought maybe I'd lingered too long in preview mode while proofreading one last time.
So, if two entries made it through, toss one of them. Both should be the same.
Edit: Ninja'ed. Thanks, Gary.
Thanks,
--Neil
It doesn't hurt to submit again, we just throw out all but the oldest entry (so if you fixed a typo or something in a re-submit it won't help).
OK, I've got to go into a meeting in a few minutes, but when I get out I'll update this thread with any newly received submissions. My apologies for the wonkiness of the submission tool this season -- I haven't had time to make any improvements to it since round 1 opened.
Joshua Blazej has submitted.
I put my in an hour ago, but my name is not on your list. I'll go do it agian.
We have entries from Andrew Judd, Eric Bailey and Matthew Stinson.
If you count what's here, there's 24 entries in and under 3 hours left! Some people are cutting it close to the wire!
Paul Worthen wrote: If you count what's here, there's 24 entries in and under 3 hours left! Some people are cutting it close to the wire! Actually, I count 24 and 2 :)
Edit: Actually, 'cause I'm anal that way, I pulled a list to check off the names, and it's 23 and 3 so far :)
this has been one of the busiest, most nerve-wracking weeks in recent memory.
In a good way.

Hopefully, the worst is yet to come. :D
Last year we had contestants submitting their entries literally two minutes before deadline. I do not understand why someone would risk not advancing due to a website malfunction or the like....

Mark Thomas has submitted.

I know, that's just crazy talk.
Going to lunch now. Will update when I get back if any of you other slackers have finally gotten around to submitting.
