So we finished Skeletons of Scarwall on Sunday night. One character died (only to be saved a round later by a handy spell), and the others were beaten silly and horrified beyond belief. One of the players in the Korvosa Korsairs adventuring group, Amanda, was inspired. And she wrote this, to the tune of Billy Joel's "Piano Man".
And, it's spoileriffic, so...
ODE TO SCARWALL
It’s 9:00 on a Sunday,
Four strange humans shuffle in
There’s an old spirit, floating next to them
Dancing ‘round with his fellow ghostkin
They twirl and move in time to a melody
That plays from somewhere in the back
They look sad and sweet and are graceful on their feet
Like the Reaper that moves to attack

Blast him to bits, that old Reaper Man
Take down the minotaurs, too
‘Cause they’re here to reclaim the sword Serithtial
And clear out this haunt-ridden zoo
Mandravius, now, was a bitter soul
So they had to set his spirit free
As they head upstairs to take Castrathane down and
He’ll wish there’s someplace else he could be
He says, “Ouch! I believe this is killing me!”
As the smile slowly fades from his face.
And the night nag quickly scoops up his soul
Then hurries to get out of this place.

Bellasham is an old umbral dragon
Who never had lost in a fight
‘Til the Korsairs walked in there, the old dragon’s lair
And hit him with all of their might
Next the jester ghost and her small sidekick
Fall to the Korsairs’s mighty blows
As they search for a staircase to lead them up
To the next of their undead, chained foes
Defeat that General Gorstav,
Then down to take out the hounds
But the Nightwing wanted to take one of them
So they left in a couple of rounds
It’s a pretty good plan to20the next tower
Except for the bone devils that can fly
So they rest for the night, and then re-make their flight
And the devils and Nyhill all die
Zev-ravanka waited 700 years
To have his phylactery smashed
Then they Buff as they head to the startower -
Nightwing watches all them just rush past

Sorry, Kleestad, you poor Judas man,
You’ll need to die tonight
‘Cause the Korsairs are here for Serithtial
And they've got a mad queen to fight
