Yes I know we should be busy working on villians, but I want to mention the fluff and mechanics, but don't want to put my foot in my mouth, again.

Congrats Matthew. =D

Erik did mention in the Abyssal Spurs Thread that we could comment on our items.
I hope he's right 'cause I've already done so in my Thread. :)

From what I understand, you can comment on your stuff whenever you want. The only restriction is that you can't discuss mechanics/process/etc. until after voting closes in each round. Until then, you can respond to feedback and the like. So, for Round One it is open discussion. Once the Round Two stuff goes up, you have to wait until after February 2nd to make anything beyond "Thank you for the kind words." type posts on your villain concepts.

Is that a correct interpretation of the rules, oh mighty Judges of Insanity?

...this was more or less how things were done last time: once the selection was made you can comment freely, so the items should be free to discuss now.

But once you get to the villain round, again no explanations, clarifications or anything until the winners of that round are selected.

I've just taken Eric's word for it, and posted some comments on my item. In essence, my critics are right, and I better get on my backside and do better next round (or, voters willing, the one after, where mechanics come into play in a more prominent fashion).

And now I better get back to work, before my boss catches me slacking off ;)

The rule:

"If the contestant posts in his or her entry thread during the voting period for any reason other to acknowledge feedback or to encourage people to vote for his or her submission, the contestant will be disqualified."

Note that it only pertains to the current entry thread during the voting period; it's fine to post as you will on older entries.

Thanks for the clarification, Vic. I've gone ahead and shared as much as I can about my entry's design...and answered as many of the judges' and others' questions as I could about the Last Leaves of the Autumn Dryad.
