Paladin DR vs. evil only?

I know this is the complete opposite of normal DR rules, but I just think that a paladin should have DR5/non-evil, meaning that it only applies to evil opponents. Alternatively, if that is too good, make it DR5/non-evil, non-outsiders, non-undead, so that it only applies to evil undead or evil outsiders? Couldn't that be done?

Maybe I missed this in another thread!

That would actually be fantastically weak! DR/Evil is not broken by any evil foe, but rather only by weapons specifically enchanted with unholy power that represents the antithesis of everything the paladin believes in. A DR against evil only would only be effective against a small percentage of the enemies he faces.

I prefer DR/Evil, simply because if it's easy for non-evil to overcome the damage redcution, evil NPC's will just hire CN mercenaries to dispatch any problem paladins. Besides, it also gives the paladin a little boost against non-evil foes, somthing the paladin might since the paladins main class features and spells are only effective vrs evil.
