Am still not so sure about DDI but did you see those floorplans they were using whilst playing and socialising!!

Have to say that part looked great!

Wish I had enough money to buy dungeon tiles or whatever they're called...

Thanks for the link!

Those were Dwarven Forge's Master Maze product line. That stuff is cool.

I'm still not convinced about the DDI as well - mainly due to the fact I'm going down the 3.X route. A good chunk of the stuff will be of no use to me.

I subscribed to DDI, and if you're still playing 3rd edition then DDI is of no real use to you. DDI is a great resource for 4e DMs.

That online tabletop looks really cool - it would be awesome for online games. I was under the impression that function would be usable with 3.5 rules - but I'm betting that changed.

Liberty's Edge

Paizo Charter Superscriber; Pathfinder Companion, Pathfinder Accessories, PF Special Edition Subscriber; Starfinder Charter Superscriber

That video was taken at GenCon UK... was not paying attention at all to what they were showing..was just looking to see if I popped up in it...

The Exchange RPG Superstar 2010 Top 32

They couldn't resist having dressed up people - which I am so sick of people asking me about. I like that the volume in the player goes up to 11 though.

Ah-ha. I did wonder if that was the case, whilst watching it.

The Online Tabletop program doesn't adjudicate rules. As far as I'm aware, you won't really suffer by using it with the 3.5 rules set, aside from one small issue: in 4th Edition, diagonal movement costs 1 square of movement. The tabletop appears to show a measure of how many squares of movement you're using when you plot a move, and that measure would not reflect the 1.5-square diagonal movement rule from 3.5.

The character builder is really amazing, simple and quick. If you haven't downloaded it yet I highly recommend it!

For a video designed to show off DDI it did a really great job of showing off the table top game. My employee, who does not game, comes into the back room out of curiosity when she heard the first part of the video and was totally sucked in by the diorama... she was not nearly so impressed with the 'video game'.

First thing I noticed. :)

That's one louder then any other media player.

Amen.
