I believe exile goes there now and again, we both live in Kentucky but i have never been up there.
I live here.
Check out: www.louisvillerpg.com
It's a wonderful site for Louisville roleplayers.
There's a couple stores around town that are good for gamers. Most notably, The Book and Music Exchange on Preston Highway and one on Bardstown Road. There's also the Louisville Game Store, which does a lot of wargaming I think, and it's also on Bardstown Road.
Good luck.

I actually live in Somerset, KY, but I drive to Louisville with alarming regularity. I would second teh suggestion to check out www.louisvillerpg.com. I am by no means a regualr, but I do sneak a peek from time to time.
I have a great group of friends there, most of whom I have known for over a decade. We play about once a month, but the game often takes a backseat to simply hanging out.
I would be very interested in getting people together who are interested in playing PFS events there once a month or so...might even try to incorporate it into the weekend I come up to see the friends.
As for stores, I used to frequent Great Escape on Bardstown Road and Comic Book World (can't recall the name of the street it is on now). CBW always did the best job of getting new product in on a regular basis, but Great Escape had a wonderful selection of used product.
There's a newer store called the Louisville Game Shop, I think. I've been in there a couple of times, and they have a good selection of miniatures and board games. They also seem to have newer RPG product, but not a huge backstock by any means.
