(Throwing myself in front of the bus again).
Blessed Book is considered a must have for wizards to reduce costs and load. Cost to Buy (not craft) - 12,500GP
Ignoring all benefits of smaller size, weight and durability there are a thousand pages to take spells at no cost. An effectively cost of 12.5 GP.
I propose making the cost to copy into a regular, clunky spellbook 12.5GP per page.

That is part of the advantage of the spell that the blessed book is based around.
I had not realized this, but unless transmutation is a forbidden school, per RAW, secret page allows you to entirely ignore spellbook page limits, and covers the scribing cost of the spell, since it allows you to show a spell with it's casting, although it requires 100 castings to fill a normal book.

Why not just... buy the book?
No new rule needed...
The problem is the book is too expensive at low levels... by the time you can afford the book you don't need to save the money.
It would make more sense if it were cheap to put low level spells into your book and have high level spells more expensive to scribe.

That would work too. More of a geometric progression than linear. Much cheaper per low level spell, about the same as now for mid and much more for high.
Something like:
lvl__Cost to Copy
1_______20
2_______80
3______180
4______320
5______500
6______720
7______980
8____1,280
9____1,620
OR
1________4
2_______32
3______108
4______256
5______500
6______864
7____1,372
8____2,048
9____2,916
