Innis |
Bit of Luck: Him'Wazir re-reoll your next d20 take the most favorable result
Innis curses as Hiw'Wazir misses and tries again to manipulate the subtle Weavings of Fate; blurring the lines between luck and skill.
Lililinda |
Lililinda seems to cheer slightly as she makes a bit of progress in smothering the flames. "DO hold still Him dear. I've almost got it!"
GM Aumakua |
Lililinda go ahead and make your Reflex roll to put out the flames on Him
GM Aumakua |
Nope that was for the previous round. No worries
You attempt again but with all the moving Him is forced to do it is almost impossible to get him to stay still long enough to put out the fire that has now burned through most of his clothing.
"Get out of here while you still you!" Him signals to you.
GM Aumakua |
Him Burning: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Him slashes again with the last of the blade's enchantment about to expended and makes it count cutting the blade against the legs of the creature while he tumbles and rolls to the other end of the room. The creature almost as quick as Him almost hits the savvy warrior but the claw is stopped by aid of the invisible field that surrounds Him.

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |
His Touch AC is 18? Geeze-Louise...I will need at least a 14 on each roll to hit.
GM Aumakua |
My bad it is my turn...
Kirzon runs to outside of the room calling for the others to hurry while Him has the creature preoccupied.
The creature continues to follow Him and looks to trap him in the corner. He lashes out with his claw at Him but savvy swordsman has fought this creature long enough and guesses the creature's action and quickly moves out of the way.

Innis |
Bit of Luck: Merry re-roll your next d20 take the most favorable result
Innis grants Merelda luck with the wish that she will slay her enemies.
I don't think the creature has been moved accurately
Lililinda |
Lililinda continues her nigh-futile efforts to smother the flames.
Reflex: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (6) - 1 = 5
GM Aumakua |
Right you are Innis. As well Lililinda Him is no longer near you. Currently you are alone in the room as Innis moved out to give Merelda some luck. A suggestion might be to hightail out of the room. That or you can do something else other than fan out the flames
Lililinda |
Yipes! Missed that. Lililinda would definitely follow Him. She's completely focused on the task at hand.
Is Him's position on the map current?
GM Aumakua |
Yup but that is going to put right by beside the burning baddie!
GM Aumakua |
Next round Nicias. This past rd I had you clear the weak section of the floor. Welcome back Kirzon.
GM Aumakua |
Alright this is probably a good time to make sure we all understand what is currently going on. It's been a long battle and this one was always going to be given your resources.
The creature you are fighting is clearly undead of some sort and while it is burning - you can feel the heat - it is also incorporeal. You have clearly harmed it but you have no idea by how much.
Him has 1 round left in the magic weapon potion that Nicias provided Him and he has moved into a corner to allow you guys the chance of running from the room even if it the cost of his life - Him would protect the lives of others in sacrifice of his own plus he can use acrobats to get out of the way.
The only people who have been able to hurt the creature are Merelda and Him. But since you have a good idea that it is undead Innis should be able to harm it as well.
Nicias has just made it from the attic you can hear him running in the passage.
Lililinda needs to decide if she will run after Him or choose another action
Hope this makes everything clearer
Innis |
Innis has exhausted her healing powers and divine abilities she has no way of harming this creature at the moment
Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |
OK so the creature attacked and both Innis an Lililinda have gone, so Merelda and the rest of us are up now. Right?
"Come on people! Run like your a$$ is on fire! We can't hold this thing much longer!"
Mereleda slides past Innis and moves closer to the secret door in order to clear room for the others, and maybe give them a chance to escape!
Disrupt Undead RTA: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Disrupt Undead RTA: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
OK so...the gods hate me. Good to know.
GM Aumakua |
Him on fire: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Him smiles even as he continues to burn. "Get OUT Merelda!"
He swings the scimitar intent on making to make good on this last swing. As the blade strikes the creature you watch the creature roar in pain smoke billowing out of its mouth.
Him then springs up on a piece of the ruined bedframe and front flips to the other side hoping to evade the the beast. As he tries to jump off the bedframe you watch him stumble as a sharp pain shoots up his leg providing the creature enough time to claw at him.
Him scimitar: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26
damage: 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11

Lililinda and Innis. Your turn
Innis |
As much as i would like to not die, I believe it is the creature's turn not ours, it's attack was AoO and it acts before lili and I
GM Aumakua |
Ohhh snap you are so right! That would probably mean Him would move further to keep you out of danger I'll need to readjust his position.
GM Aumakua |
Ok let's continue...
Having stayed so close to the creature Lililiana you feel the heat begin to sear your skin. Take 6 points of damage please
The creature ignores the injured gnome and continues to attack Him intent on destroying the swashbuckler. The claw rips into Him's chest and you watch the Kelishite stumble barely able to stand on his feet.
Lilinda and Innis. Your Turn. I would suggest you run.
Him Hp 1/23
Burning undead claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
damage: 1d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4) + (1) = 5
Him Reflex: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Lililinda |
Lililinda screams and stumbles back from the heat. "AAAH! HIM!" She stares in horrible indecision at her friend for a moment, before reluctantly following his last command to flee. She turns and runs for the door.
Innis |
Innis hisses in frustration as the tide of the battle refuses to turn and makes a break for it.
GM Aumakua |
I have to make an AoO vs one of you so I'll choose Innis
As you both run for the stairs the creature claws at Innis hoping to leave you a reminder of your failure. The creature's claw sears your skin leaving the mark he had hoped for. Innis take 6 points of damage and make a reflex save DC 17
Merelda, Kirzon, Nicias. Your Turn
AoO claw: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |
Stepping back into the secret room Merelda has a quick flash of insight.
"GO HIM! I have an idea!!"
Disrupt Undead RTA: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 5
"Come get me! I'm playing in your special room!"
GM Aumakua |
Merelda remember Him is on fire and only has 1 hp. If you would still like to proceed with your action. No worries just wanted to make you aware of this.
Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |
I thought Lililinda put him out and that he made his reflex save this last hit? Am I wrong? Either way, if he runs away and tries to put himself out, that's his best chance to live anyway right? Heck if he can make it downstairs there is half a dozen people that can try and help put him out. He won't die immediately, and hopefully I can distract the creature long enough to get its attention and prevent it from following Him. Am I miss-thinking this? Merelda does not want to die, and she does have an idea to get out of the situation sort of...but she did get everybody into this problem in the first place and is trying to atone for that now if she can.
GM Aumakua |
yup Lililinda was able to get some of the flames out but he missed on another saving the previous time he was hit. He can run for it but the fire damage will come first so if it is higher than a 1 he will fall unconcious.
Merelda "The Widow" Widdomeria |
OK, I just read the rules (yes I'm desperate enough) and it says: If a character's clothes or hair catch fire, he takes 1d6 points of damage immediately. In each subsequent round, the burning character must make another Reflex saving throw. Failure means he takes another 1d6 points of damage that round. Success means that the fire has gone out—that is, once he succeeds on his saving throw, he's no longer on fire. So he gets a reflex check every round automatically then right? Has he been getting those at all?
Innis |
The Creature already used an AoO on Him this round i don't believe it should get an attack on me since I'm last and this is the same round.
Edit: else if it does get an AoO can I use my copycat and then move instead to summon a mirror image?
