If I wish to be silly, there is an abundance of aliases to choose from.

Ahh but I never post anything serious with my avatars. Should I give an opinion on something it is always under this avatar.

I have estabished personalities for my aliases, and if something fits what I think they would say, then I use them. Most serious stuff I post under my own name though.

I allready have enough voices in my head I don't need any alias to confuse things.

I haff been trying to tell you all zis for some time now ....

My first name is Duncan. Enough said.

Silver Crusade

Ancient RP character whose handle just kind of stuck.

Spoiler:
Full name, Arashiko Mikaze. Son of a British archaeologist and a female oni. Somehow grew up to be a "rebel without a cause" biker. Very sensitive about the very girly name his monstrous mother gave him(Arashiko = Storm Caller according to some kanji, Storm Child according to others, Mikaze = Holy Wind or Beautiful Wind depending on the kanji. He inherited the latter from his mother and constantly lied about which meaning it had ever since).

He'd drive from town to town and pick fights(about a third of which were drunken brawls) with ghosts and demons. No grace either, he fought very much in the Hellboy style: Punch evil in the face until it stops biting you. Good times.

Sovereign Court

I just had a hard time coming up with a good name. So I went with an adjective and called it a day.

And here I thought you just really liked Planescape: Torment!

It's a trap!

My family's ancestral lands in Ireland was at and around castle Loughmoe in the north of Tipperary county and well Tipperary has that famous song so Loughmoe, being a bit more obscure, seemed a good choice.

Grand Lodge

Self-explanatory, one would think in my case ;)

Although, I dont live in DC anymore, having moved to Seattle, but I wanted to keep the name.

Think mine is pretty self explanitory as well ... been a gamer since 1977 (yeah white box D&D!) and I'm a girl :)

Well there this guy. (My name)

Two others named after books: Rumblefish and Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid.

Frog Cultist thanks to all the frog avatars out there.

Eldon and Jillian, my two halfling rogues in PBP. Maybe they will marry after there adventures are over? Who knows.

A Drunk Monk, in a PBP called Six Monks Bar. A fun little game put together by Tarren.

I think that's it....

Shadow Lodge

Yet another reminder that I must play that game one day. I've heard nothing but amazing things about it and I loved Baldur's Gate + sequels. Maybe this summer when I have time to play RPGs, I'll get it done.

Avidreader isn't the name of a character, it's the name of my favourite deck from the Warlord CCG (a tale far too nerdy to tell). 514 is my area code, on the off chance there's another avidreader on the board.

I keep the same name everywhere because I have a lousy memory.

Although not this name (first AOL login), my other favorite is "Ern Zoltin".

I had a dreadful webpage that was hosted by AOL called "Ern Zoltin's Main Homepage". Yes, it had frames : x

Anyway, I was out checking the mail and what did I find? An American Express Blue card application in the name of Ern Zoltin! This was when the first Blue cards were by application only. Sadly, it was pre-approved in a fantasy name! Never did apply for it, but I went to the nearest AmEx location and asked why I received the application. Especially considering the first line of the page said "I am a Thayvian Necromancer and worshiper of Bane!"

And you thought it was bad when your DOG got an application! Mine was a fictitious character!

I got stuck with the name Flash when I started work at McDonalds because I was slow. I got better, but the name stuck. I hated it at first, but then realized that The Flash was actually one of my favourite Comic Characters and why the hell should I be ashamed to be associated with him. I think 80% of the people I worked with at McDonalds over the years didn't even know my real name.
When it came time for me to get an e-mail address flash@hotmail was taken (obviously). My favourite number is 121, but flash121 was also taken (as was flash21). So I went with flash_cxxi@hotmail.com and have used flash_cxxi as a login name ever since.

I like sandwiches.....And....
Shortly after I was diagnosed as diabetic, I was thinking about how I needed to change some of my eating habits (Damn you, white flour!) and reading an article about the Earl of Sandwich on Wikipedia's featured article of the day.
For some reason that article stuck in head and several nights later I invented a silly bedtime story for my then-2-year-old son about the Earl of Sandwich which promptly (and much to my chagrin)became his favorite story for next month and drove me crazy having to re-tell it...again...and again...and...Well, you get the point.

Magdalena Thiriet was a name of a character I was playing when signing up in here...a wizard who had just arrived to Diamond Lake

Spoiler:
This was not her real name and she claimed to be half-elf, though she was actually rebellious elf noble who just though humans were cool...

Of the avatar selection available then, I just picked the one which looked most like the character (even though that is a water fey).

On principle I prefer Internet anonymity. If you have troubles with my opinions, you would have the same troubles even if there would be my real name up there.

And Torment railroads madly but it is still the best computer RPG I have played.

I used to play pick-up games of hockey with people in Montreal. I'm a goaltender and on the paddle of my stick it said EDGEWOOD made by a now extinct company from Montreal. A lot of the people didn't know my name so they just called me Edgewood. Pretty boring now that I think about it...

well mine is a blatant rip off of my favorite movie, "Big Trouble in Little China"

Liberty's Edge

Mine is obvious on one level (celtic hero), but it also happens to be the way my real name would be said in Mandarin Chinese.

My cousin is a Chino-phile and he says that names in English are condensed to specific sounds in Mandarin.

It usually means taking the first syllable of your last name and adding it as a prefix to your first name.

That makes my real name translated to Mandarin: "Cu-Cu-lahn."

We both thought it was a cool coincidence, so I took it as a screen name.

Zmar is a Czech word for loss, destruction and a few other similar things. It's a nick that I've been using in online games whenever I want to play the evil variant of myself and I took it here, because I caouldn't fully create my other alter-ego, the Sleeping Dragon.

Well mine is my name.

Sharach of Ket was my lawful Evil character, who I loved playing.

I also use 'The Livewire' but not here, used to be on usenet and the WotC boards.

As to why I chose the Golarian Blue? I love Blue dragons, and they look more noble than the WotC Blue.

My last name is Knight, and in my family on my father's side my brother and I are the only boys born to males. My brother is older than me, therefor I am the lastKnightleft. Because until one of us has a son, the name dies with me.

I'm in the same boat as it comes down to my brother and me(and a cousin) and now the pressure is off! My son will be born in two months!

I have more then enough brothers that I never felt that much pressure. Now I also have more than enough sons that it doesn't matter. But I do know what you're talking about. My brother was engaged to a girl, and oops she got pregnant. When they found out the baby was a boy, she suddenly broke off the engagement and offered to let her parents adopt him. Her father had only daughters and no brothers, so he needed a male heir to continue the family line. It's a twisted world we live in at times.

Liberty's Edge

It is my name-name.

I hate Andrew Turner.

I rush in where Angels fear to tread... or something...

Chicken!!

I like chocolate milk!

I am the erudite aspect of Andrew Turner's webwork DID (MPD).

The only nickname that ever stuck in high school (has it really been 20 years?) and fought off any attemps to change it latter.

Kind of a spin off from my name: Simon, shortened to Sim and warped to Slime! And the icon just makes me smile.

my avatar name is like, my name. im not very creative. if i ever do, it will be fofoolin. from def lepard.

My favorite D&D monster has always been the kobold, ever since my older brother showed me the pic of one in the MM and I just thought they looked real cute. That was before they TPK'ed us and forced us to flee...but since then, I've always played a kobold if I can. I can't remember where the cleaver came from, of course, it just fit the avvy.

Heh, actually I'm quite happy with the situation. I mean yeah it would suck if it ends with me (say if I only have daughter and so does my brother), But I actually love my screename.

From the final pages of a novel by Alfred Bester.
