Does anyone CARE about College Football bowls is what I wonder....
Not gonna lie, I don't follow college football for three essentially arbitrary reasons that have nothing to do with the quality of gaemplay:
1. Too many teams for me to keep track of- most of which I simply cannot be bothered to care about.
2. Frustrating metrics for determining Championship.
3. I went to Indiana University during a period when yeah, we had Antwaan Randle El... and literally nobody else worth a damn. Our kicker didn't clear the lineman's tailbone on one memorable occasion.
And bowl games... well, frankly, there are an awful lot of them, and most of them kinda lack gravitas.

Mark appears to have his father's friggin' impulse control. And even IF Gruden says yes and comes onboard... he's not a silver bullet- he's a guy who hasn't coached a professional game for eight years, and who Oakland fans only have warm fuzzies about because he was in charge the last time the team seriously performed from year to year.... which was a long, long time ago.

Watching Khalil Mack in that Bears/Packers game was friggin' torture. Jeeze. Glad I wasn't a True Believer in Saint Gruden's magical decision-making.
